Charlie's POV

As soon as Danny dropped me off at my house, I dialed Louis' number. He didn't pick up and then I remembered that he was probably sleeping. It was nearly midnight here so it must be around one or two in the morning there in California. He told me that he goes to sleep early when he's on tour so he can't be more pumped up and awake for the fans. I couldn't wait though. I dialed his number four times until he picked up.

"Hello?" he sleepily answered his phone.

"Louis, I'm sorry, I'm a horrible person, I--"

"Charlie?" Louis' voice sounded like it was in shock. Most likely because I haven't really talked to him in the past four months. "Are you okay?"

I sniffled. "Not really." I honestly replied.

"Char, what's wrong?" he sounded more awake now and I thought it was a good sign. Now he'd be listening to my apology and hopefully everything would be alright.

"I'm literally the worst person in the world." I said and he didn't even try to interrupt me. "I don't know if you've seen any pictures or anything but yeah, I've been hanging out with Danny almost everyday for the past four months."

"I know." he sighed.

"I thought it'd be easier to be with him, and it is, but I don't love him like I love you. And I don't want easy. Easy isn't fun." I explained. "I'm just sorry for everything. I miss you like crazy and I should've stayed that extra day in Glasgow with you guys."

"We had to leave that day too. There was a change of plans so it wasn't your fault." Louis promised. "I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have put you through this mess. That night with the whole Twitter incident was just totally f*cked up. Never ever believe a word any haters says about you. The only opinion that matters to you should be from the people you love, not some person behind a computer."

My phone was probably soaked from the tears streaming from my right cheek. I put the phone on speaker so it wouldn't drown along with me in my tears.

"I was embarrassed, Lou. I was so embarrassed,"

"Why?" he curiously asked.

"You seem like you'd be the type of guy to want a strong girl. A girl who doesn't cry at the dumbest things." I exclaimed. "I've never broken down like that in front of anyone before. Actually, I've never broken down like that in general. I know that guys don't like dramatic girls that cry all the time and I want to be strong for you. I thought that if I wasn't, you'd go back to Eleanor or find someone who you could handle."

"Stop right there." he scolded. "I am not going back to Eleanor. She hurt you and she hurt me by hurting you. And there's no one better for me out there than you. You're the only one I want and don't think for a second that I'd ever leave you because I'm not going to. I promise you that I love you unconditionally and there's nothing that could tear us apart."

Katy Perry's song Unconditionally popped into my head and I started singing a little bit of it, making Louis laugh. Leave it to us to involve Katy in a moment like this. I wiped my tears and sniffled once more. I really need a tissue, I thought as I looked around my room for one.

"This month needs to pass. I miss you." I said after I gave up on the tissue thing and used my sleeve.

"I miss you too." he responded. "The month will fly by, don't worry. I wanna see you so bad right now. I just wanna hold you and kiss you."

I giggled. "The month will fly by, don't worry." I mocked him in a British accent.

For the next four hours, we talked about anything and everything. He told me about every single one of his shows and I tried to picture everything in my mind. Although, I don't really have to. I'm sure there's tons of videos on YouTube already. I told him about Aly and how she's not talking. We bantered on why she'd chosen not to talk and what other things she could have done instead.
