Chapter - 4

So sorry this is a SUPER shourt chap, i really wanted to update. Next chap will be a million times better and longer =)

Wendy:

I think I caught Romeo looking at me while Master Makarov was giving us our instructions. I couldn’t help but blush. Lucy, Erza, and Levy all like to tease me about boys, but I’m just not old enough to really know if I like a Romeo or not. No not Romeo, i-I meant a boy, just a boy in general!

I have always admired Natsu, Gray, and even Gajeel and Laxus to some extent; but with them it was admiration as men I look up too and I trust to look after me. I have never had a crush before. But Romeo is sweet, and fiercely loyal to the Guild, and I see a lot of Natsu’s personality in him, and… No getting side track! Time to focus on the Request. Then Makarov shouts, “The Exam starts, NOW!” and we all take off flying in different direction.

My Request is titled, ‘The Hunt’ why do I get the bad feeling that I am going to have to do a lot of fighting! I don’t like fighting, nothing about battle is enjoyable to me. I wonder if Master is telling me that I have to get over this fear of fighting before I am able to be considered S-Class.

Either way I will put my best foot forward and try my hardest to complete this request. I head off excited to Oshibana, which is where this Hunt is taking place.  The train ride seems strange and lonely without Carla. But since she is a member of the guild too she isn’t allowed to accompany me on the request. She was very against me taking the S-Class exam in the first place because she said it was far too dangerous for a young girl like me. But I went for it anyway!

I miss her already though. I try to distract myself. I start wondering who it is that was assigned to follow me. I wouldn’t really mind any of them, except maybe Bixlow, he is a little strange. If I had my choice it would either be Makao, or the Master, though Mira-Jane or Erza would be cool too.

Before I know it I am arriving at Oshibana station. The request was sent by a Merchant Guild called the ‘Tapestry of Crimson’ Guild, they specialize in Making dyes and paints for clothes and art. I wonder why a place like that would send a quest entitled ‘The Hunt’ ? 

I head inside to talk to the Guild Master. I go up to the first person I see. “Um… excuse me, i-I am here to um…” I stammer feeling intimidated by the cold glare this man is giving me. “i-I am here to um…” Come on, I have to be confident or no one will take me seriously! “I am here to talk to your Guild Master about the request you sent to Fairy Tail.” I finally spit out.

The man’s glare melts into a smile, “Well why didn’t you say so I thought you were just one of those girls coming in here to sell us your cookie or something.” He tells me cheerfully. “The master is right this way.” He gestures for me to follow him and we go into a back room. “Master this is the Wizard from Fairy Tail who responded to the request.” The man introduces me.

The woman spins around in her chair, “Oh how WONDERFUL to meet you my dear child! You seem awfully young for an S-Class wizard, that is WONDERFUL!” The bubble and busty woman exclaims. 

“Um… thank you ma’am. M-my name is Wendy Marvel.” I answer timidly.

“It is WONDERFUL to meet you Wendy, I and the Master of the WONDERFUL Guild, my name is Joy Evershine!”

“Its very nice to meet you. You do have a very nice Guild here.” I reply.

“You are a WONDERFUL young lady! Why don’t we get down to business then shall we? I need a WONDERFUL wizard to participate in the hunt for me! See every year Oshibana and the neighboring towns have a big Hunt of sorts and the town with the winning hunter gets 20,000,000 Jewel and a WONDERFUL trophy! “ She explains. 

I breath a sigh of relief, “That sounds easy enough, so why did you send an S-Class request for something like this?”

“Because they are more private and confidential. Well you see, Wizards aren’t technically allowed to participate in the Hunt.” She admits.

“What?! You want me to do something illegal?!”

“No, no. Not illegal, just against the rules. I know you probably don’t want to, but our town really needs that money! See profits have been down lately and our commerce just isn’t what it used to be. We need the 20,000,000 jewel prize money to get our WONDERFUL town back on its feet! Will you please help us?!” She pleads. Her voice and her expression both show such sincere and pitiful that I cave in a second.

“Alright, alright. I’ll do it” I say as I throw my hands in the air.

“WONDERFUL! The Hunt actually start tomorrow so for tonight you are going to stay in our WONDERFUL Imperial Suite as an honored guest! This evening we will have a small but WONDERFUL banquet in your honor and tomorrow you will win us that prize money! Isnt it WONDERFUL!” She swoons. I cant help but wonder if she is a bit off her rocker, maybe this exam wasn’t such a good idea.
