Chapter - 12

Alrighty, here we are again! Tht last chapter was a pretty major one, i hope all of you paid close attention. Now we will see what became of lil Wendy on her request entited 'The Hunt'.  

*I realize tht chap was written months ago so i suggest refreshing your memory - Chap 4*

Wendy:

I am walking toward the entrance of the arena. My knees threaten to buckle beneath me, i am so scared. I have never done anything like this. It goes against every moral and ethnic principle that i have ever stood by - i am not only breaking a literal law, but i am going to be engaged an a sensless act of violence and it will be against those who are weaker and unprepared for me...

"Wendy what did you get yourself into?" I whisper to myself in despair. But i cant back out now. I have to see this through or i will never forgive myself for giving up on my chance to become S-Class.

I emerge from the entry way into a large arena - that is, a large taped off area of the forest that lies between Oshibana and the surrounding towns that also participate. It is about 100 acres of land but there are set boundries that we have to saty within or we are automatically disqualified. I close my eyes and try to remember all the rules that Ms. Evershine explained to me.

~ First of all you cant let you magic be obvious to the others, try to be subtle. Each ttown is allowed to send ass many as 10 represenative into the arena, so there will be a lot of people in there.

Also you must stay within the 100 acres. If you leave you lose instantly, so be on the watch for where the borders are laid.

You are allowed to use any techniques of methods you choose, but there are guidlines - You are not allowed to attack an opponent that is inside a clearly marked saftey zone. - when you are doing battle you are not allowed to use explosive weapons such as gun, grenades, flashers, or things of that nature. The type of weapons you are allowed to bring are staffs, nunchucks, Small dagger and blades, or Japanese hand fans. 

"Casualties are rare but not unheardof during the Hunt. To minimize these there is a 'Face shot penalty' if you are unnessacarily rough (i.e. continue to attack when your opponant admits defeat) or make a direct blow to you opponents face you are penalized. Penalties include loss of alliances - 30 second vulnerability - and sometimes automatic disqualificaton." She tells me.

"You are allowed to form alliances however it is not recommended for someone like you. You are not allowed to attack an individual or a group with less that a 1 to 2 ratio. Forr instance if you are a groupe of 2 then you are allowed to do battle with a single fighter. But if there were 3 in your group you would not be permitted to battle a single player. The same you apply if you had 4 and they had 2 or if you had 7 and they had 3" She continues.

"Now at the very beginning you will be standing in the center of the arena waiting for the starting gun to fire. Once it does get away, fast! There is no point in sticking around there. That is when the largest chunk of fighters go out in one setting. Wait until for the other more experienced fighters to trim the fat for you and then come out and finish it off for us. Point being, once you are in all you have to do is wait for the shot and then high tail it out of there. After that, the fun will begin..." ~

And now here i am, taking my place as the only representative of Oshibana. My hands will not stop trembling and my heart is beating out of rythm. I-i am terrified... no... i am extatic! 

I am so excite that i can barely contain myself. This is so thrilling! The fear of losing and disappointing an entire town and my guild. The challenge, the kind that i have never faced before. The adventure of discoving my true strength... all of in intoxicates me!
