Trey Pov*

It's been 3 weeks since Jordan and I professed our feelings. In that time my basketball team won district, regional, and state championships. I am also still dating Tori. I can't seem to bring myself to break up with her. I don't want to lose her as a friend or even just break her heart. I do love her, but only as a friend, nothing more. I haven't really talked to Jordan too much about the whole scene in my room. We just talk, text, hang out, like we did before we were dating.

I was standing next to Jordan. We were talking to Sammy, Taylor Mitzer, and Lexi. My hand was on the small of Jordan's back because I was keeping her from falling over laughing. Tori walks up unnoticed with Molly from behind me. In the time of the three weeks, Molly and Tori had grown really close and grown apart from Jordan and Sam. I used to hear all of the stories of the four of them being the best of friends but it doesn't look like that anymore. You would think those girls have hated each other since they first met if you didn't know their past.

Jordan: Yeah, so Lex, when is the overnight meet?

Lexi: April 11th and 12th. You can't run though, right?

Jordan: No, but I still want to be there for you guys. Cheer you on, you know.

Lexi and Sammy: Thanks, Jo-Dan.

Me: You wanna know what I can't wait for... Hawaii!

Jordan (turning to me with a huge smile on her face): I forgot all about that! I can't wait either!

Me (smirking at her and giving her a once over while licking my lips sexually): I can't wait to see you in a tiny bikini.

Jordan slapped my arm playfully and we all laughed.

Tori: Trey, can we talk...?

Me (shocked, awkwardly putting my hands at my sides and taking a small step away from Jordan): Tori! I didn't know you were there!

Tori: Yeah, I've been feeling that lately...

Ah, shit. She's mad about Jordan and I spending so much time together. I grabbed Tori's upper arm gently and pull her away from the group.

Me: Tori, there is something I have to talk to you about...

Tori (snapping, like talking in a harsh tone): What?

Me (hesitantly): I think we should just be friends. I mean you and I aren't meant to be boyfriend and girlfriend. I just don't think it's going to work out.

Tori: Go away!

Me: Tori... I want to be friends... I don't want this to come in between our friendship.

Tori: Well it already has... Just leave me alone.

I started walking away when she spoke up really loud I guess so that everyone would hear her.

Tori: Trey, I hope you know that I have been fucking Jonathan every weekend while you have been sitting at your house not doing anything. I bet he's better in bed than you are.

Me ( hastily turning around and acid leaking through my voice): Do you even realize where you are standing? What school you are going to? Do you know how many people heard that? Do you think any of these people think it is cool that you cheated on me? No! You are in a Catholic school with Catholic teachers. You have many people in the school that you just lost the respect of, including me. And lastly, (I got right up in her face) no one is proud of what you have done and it would be sad if you were. Oh and it's not like you would know if I was good in bed or not, you never have been.

I walked away from her, but she just wouldn't let it go.

Tori: Oh! Dont worry I can just go ask Abby because you know you slept with her. And well then I guess it would be right to say that you are cheating on me too. I know you are.

Me: I never did, Tori.

Tori: Really because Molly told me that you and Jordan got it on one night when all of the girls went over to your house for a girls' night.

Me: We didn't do anything. We talked.

Tori: Well Molly said she heard an 'I love you' from both of you and then kissing and moaning coming from behind the closed door to your room.

Me: Yes we kissed, and yes both of us let out a moan, and yes we said 'I love you', but we never had sex.

Tori: Prove it. And, no, having Jordan testify doesn't count.

Me: Tori, why are you acting like this? I don't even want to fight about this with you. Even if I did get proof, you wouldn't believe it. What's the point? I'm not going to fight about this. If you wanna act like a bitch, then go right on ahead. No one is stopping you.

I walked away from Tori. I touched Jordan's upper arm and light pushed her towards our religion class. Tori and I had a crowd that had formed and they were all watching me and glancing back at Tori to see what we do next.

Me (loudly so that everyone could hear me): Get to class. Nothing else is happening.

The people dispersed and Jordan and I slowly walked to Mr. Brass's classroom.

Jordan: That is not like Tori to act like that.

Me: I know... I didn't understand what she was doing. She didn't make everyone feel bad for her by what she said. If anything, everyone is going to be mad at her. I mean she has been cheating on me the entire time...

Jordan: Trey, I have a question.

We sat down in our seats and I leaned closer to her so that she could ask me in a whispered voice.

Jordan: Why didn't you break up with her sooner? I mean you knew for a month at least now. Why didn't you say anything?

Me: I really don't know Jordan... It would have made hanging out with you much easier.

Jordan: Haha, true!

We shared a laugh before Mr. Brass gave us the evil eye and we stopped laughing and sat silently for the rest of class.

*** After school

Jordan: So, are you going to track?

Me: Yep! Are you? No wait, you got hurt...

Jordan: Yeah, I'm going. I'm going to be there to support the girls.

Me: That's awesome Jordan!

Jordan: Ha! Thanks!

Me: I'm so glad it is going to be hot today.

Jordan: Why? Do you wanna sweat?

Me (smirking at her): No, I get to see you in less clothes than in the winter.

Jordan (slapping my arm): You are so dirty!

Me (laughing): Nah... I'm just kidding. No, I have a cutoff for practice.

Jordan: Oh, sexy! It's cutoff season already? I need to get my camera ready! I could get some money for a picture of your pole-vaulting in a cutoff!

Me (laughing): You have plenty of pictures to choose from. You went to Florida with us. I didn't wear a shirt 90% of the time.

Jordan (linking our arms): That is true! Very, very true! (laughing) I can't wait to see that in Hawaii! I love your muscles.

She grabbed my arm and started squeezing my muscle. We were in the athletic hallway and I walked into the locker room to get ready for practice. I ran the 100, 300 hurdles, 4 by 1, and pole-vaulted. I owned the state records for all of them, and I am working for the national records.
