Ch. 18 Overnight Meet

Mac: Jo-Dan!

Mac ran up from behind me and hugged me from behind.

Mac: Come on let's go! Mr. Harden wants to get on the road!

Me: Alright! I'm coming! (to Trey) Bye, bub! See ya tomorrow night!

Mac kept pulling my arm and getting me to move along.

Trey: See ya, sexy!

Me: Bye, muscles!

Mac and I ran to Mrs. Hertz's car. Mrs. Hertz is Sammy's mom. Her and Mrs. Cappill were driving some girls in their cars while the rest rode on the bus. Sammy, Mac, Lexi, and I all rode in Mrs. Hertz's car. We jammed out to Justin Bieber and Sage The Gemini.

We kept going until we got to Macaroni Grill, where we would be eating at that night. When we got in the restaurant, we went to the small restroom.

Lexi: Come on, Sam! You take forever!

Taylor: Seriously, Sam, they are going to be done eating by the time you come out!

Mac and I walk out of the bathroom, leaving Lexi and Taylor to deal with Sam's slowness.

Mac: So, do you miss my cousin?

Me: Nah.

Mac (laughing): Yeah right.

Me (laughing): Do you know if he will ask me out again?

Mac's face dropped from the smile and she looked at me seriously.

Mac: He is afraid to ask you out. He wants to build up your friendship again before he says anything. He is also going to a stage where he isn't sure about his life.

Me: What do you mean?

Mac: He had a dream the other day that he was a priest, so now he isn't sure if that is what he should do.

Me (incredulously): Trey, a priest. That's the worst joke I have ever heard.

Mac (laughing): That's what I told him, but he won't listen.

Me: He'll snap out of it soon.

Mac: Yeah, I hope so.

Sam: Is this where we are staying?

Lexi: I have no idea...

We were pulling into a hotel parking lot. The hotel was sketchy as hell. All of the rooms were outside. There was four floors and it looked kind of dirty. The area around the hotel was sketchy also. I started feeling a little nervous and scared.

Mac: This'll be an adventure.

Lexi: Shut up, Kenz! I'm not in the mood for an adventure like this...

Mac: Grow a pear.

Lexi: I hate you...

Mac (smiling really widely at her): Love you, too, cuz!

We got out of the car and got our stuff out from the back.

Taylor (walking up to us): This is so weird!

Sam: I know right!

Mrs. Hertz: Samantha! Stop it!

Mac: Yeah, Samantha, stop it. Let us begin our adventure!

Lexi: You're annoying, Kenz!

Mac: Shut up, Lex. No one asked you!

Lexi and Mac kept fake bickering. They were pros at making the smallest thing seem really big. They knew how to make most things funnier, and it's not just those two. It's all of them, everyone in the family.

Me: Ok, guys! Break it up!

We all went inside to get our room keys from Mr. Harden. I was in a room with Mac, Lexi, and Taylor. Sam was put with some of her other friends. This was going to be a fun night.

Mac: I call Jo-Dan!

Lexi: No way! I wanted to sleep with you!

Mac hugged me tightly and looked at Lexi. I hugged her back just as tightly.

Mac: She is mine!

Me: I'm never letting go of her!

Lexi grabbed Taylor and slung her arm over Taylor's shoulder and Taylor did the same to Lexi.

Lexi: Fine! Taylor and I will just have a better time then you two!

Taylor: Yeah! We're gonna snuggle!

Mac (laughing): Wow... I always feared you were that way, Taylor, but I didn't suspect it from you Lex!

I started cracking up and Taylor faked an offended look then started laughing. Lexi had a genuinely shocked face.

Lexi: Fuck you.

For the rest of the night the team played meep meep (just go with it, it is agin game but takes too long to explain) and a couple other games before we all went back to our hotel rooms. Mac and I curled up in our bed and soon we both got really cold so we decided to snuggle to keep warm. I fell asleep with Mac's arms around my shoulders and my arms around her lower back, when we woke up in the morning we were in the same position.

Lexi (calling over from the other bed): So I see that you two took our idea and snuggled.

I turned over in the bed and looked over at Taylor and Lexi. Lexi's arms were around Taylor's waist and Taylor had her arms wrapped tight around Lexi's neck and half of her body on top of Lexi. They looked like they could have just had sex, but we knew they didn't. They are really close friends. They have grown really close over the years during track season. Seeing the two of them like that was normal. I have gone over to Lexi and Mac's house plenty of times to find Taylor walking around naked. She really seems to do that a lot. Trey isn't even fazed by it anymore. He and his little brothers just know that when Taylor is over they need to steer clear of her if they don't feel like seeing a naked Taylor. She has a crazy way of making herself comfortable.

We won the meet! I mean it isn't that surprising, considering we are the best team in Kentucky. It's still exciting though! Especially since all of my friends killed it. The overnight meet was a success, and on our way home, all of us just passed out because we were all so tired. Sam got seriously sunburned while Mac and Lexi just got even tanner, along with Taylor. Me? I didn't really tan or burn. I tanned a little but not much.
