Ch. 39 It's About Damn Time

Trey Pov*

Me (awkwardly): Hey... What are you doing here?

Brooke (standing up, walking towards me, seductively): Hi. How are you? I missed you, baby.

She wrapped her arms around my neck and leaned in to kiss me.

I had two choices. I could kiss Brooke and go right back to the guy I was before. Or I could push Brooke back and prove I have changed for Taylor.

Brooke's lips were inches within mine.

Me (pushing Brooke back gently): Brooke, stop, please.

Brooke looked at me hurt. Tears started filling her eyes.

Brooke (hurt, angrily): I thought we had something real, Trey!

Me: Look, Brooke. I like you. I have a good time with you. You are a super sweet girl. You're really funny. We get along really well. We never fight. We are pretty much the same person in different sexes... But that isn't enough. I like you, but I love Taylor. Taylor and I may have our differences. We might fight. We might have a lot of problems, but I will fight to keep her in my life. I can't live without her. She makes me laugh like no one else. She gets me more than anyone. She understands me. She is the one that I want to spend the rest of my life with. I am so sorry that I led you on like I did, Brooke.

Brooke (staring at me, tears falling from her eyes): That was the most beautiful thing I have ever heard. Why are you sitting here talking to me for? Go get your girl. You don't have to help promote the movie. I'll do it for the both of us. (hugging me) Keep in touch, okay? Be good, and (touching my cheek) good luck!

She walked out of the room. I sat down on my bed, thinking about what just happened. I just turned down a beautiful girl for Taylor. I have never turned down a girl before. Taylor was doing crazy things to me...

Mac (walking into my room with a camera): I got that entire conversation between you and Brooke.

Me: You spied on me.

Mac (smiling widely): Yep! And I'm going to show Taylor this video. She needs to see how you feel about her and that you just passed the first step.

Me (looking at Mac, gratefully): Thanks, Mac. You always have my back. I can never repay you for everything you have done for me.

Mac (sitting next to me): You finally convinced me.

Me: What do you mean?

Mac: You love her. You can never love anyone else. You are in love with Taylor. There is no doubt in my mind anymore. No matter how many girls throw themselves at you like that, you will always be in love with Taylor. It's easy to love someone, but to be in love, now that's a once in a life time feeling. You feel it.

I didn't know what to say. Hearing Mac tell me this made me so happy. If I finally convinced Mac that I loved Taylor, then I could convince everyone that I do.

Mac: Go get Taylor back. She is pissed off at you right now.

I looked at Mac curiously and she stared back at me. She moved her hands in a shooing motion and that's when I got up and started walking to my door.

Mac (clearing her throat): Aren't you forgetting something.

I looked down and remembered I still had to get dressed. Mac left and I got dressed quickly. I hopped in the Veneno, because I decided this was the perfect time to ride it.

I had to get to Taylor before it was too late. I really hope she would forgive.

A/N Sorry for the shortness. It was all I could think to write in this chapter. Sorry guys, my chapters have been really short lately. I will try to lengthen them out more now.
