"I'll see you later, Liam!" I yelled in goodbye as I opened the front door, pulling my bag onto my shoulder. "Hold on! Mom wants more butter for her baking later, I thought you could pick some up on your way home?"

I sighed and playfully rolled my eyes, "And what, may I ask, is stopping you from getting some?" I asked him, "Mason's coming over, we haven't spent much best friend time together lately."

"Alright, alright. No need for the puppy eyes. I'll see you later. Use protection!" I yelled out as I ducked out the door before he could catch me. I ran to the end of the street and hopped on the bus just before it left.

I took a seat by the window, looking out at the passing buildings as I put my headphones in. I felt my phone vibrate in my hand so I looked down and unlocked it, "Hey, Annie. You're up at the hospital today, right?"

I felt a small smile tug at the corners of my mouth as I read the text from my crush, Garret. "Hey, Garret. Yep, I'm at the hospital all day today :)" I typed out a quick reply as I thanked the driver and hopped off the bus.

"I'll come see you at lunch x" Garret's reply read, I felt a small bunch of butterflies erupting in my stomach, my mood immediately lightening as I awaited lunch time with as much patience as I could fathom.

"Good Morning, Melissa," I smiled cheerfully, "Oh, Good Morning to you, Annie. What's got you so cheerful and bright this morning?" She asked, I shrugged, smiling widely.

"Well," she chuckled, "Doctor Leighton has a very long list of patients to check up on this morning, and I put your name forward to help him out."

"You mean-? Really? I'm checking up on patients alone?" I asked excitedly, "Yeah, yeah I think you're ready."

*Garret's POV*

It's Saturday. Finally, no school, I've got the whole day to myself. I pulled myself up to sit up as I reached over to my bedside cabinet and grabbed my phone in my hand.

9 a.m., perfect. I clicked on my messages, opening my most recent conversation and smiling as I read over last night's 1 a.m. banter with my best friend, Annie.

Today's the day, you wimp. I thought to myself as I typed out a quick message. "Hey, Annie." I started, "You're up at the hospital today, right?"

I felt my heartbeat flutter as my phone vibrated, the screen lighting up with a text. "Hey, Garret. Yep, I'm at the hospital all day today :)" a small chuckle slipped past my lips as I reached the smiley face in her message.

"I'll come see you at lunch x" my stomach chewed on itself as my eyes stayed glued to the accidental 'x' I had sent her.

I'm gonna tell you, Annie, I love you.

*Skip to lunch bc food is bae*

"Garret? What are you doing here?" Melissa smiled confusedly at me as I walked up to the nurses station.

"Is Annie free?" I asked, nervously tapping my fingers against the desk. "She just went to lunch, I'll call her up"

"Hey, Garret," I turned around at the sound of Annie's voice, "Hey, um. Is- is there somewhere we can talk?"

"So, what's up?" Annie asked me, "Uh, Annie. I- I know you're Liam's sister and all, and I don't want things to be weird between us all if you don't feel the same way, but I need to tell you anyway.
I really, really like you, I probably love you, Annie. And if there is any slight chance that you might feel the same way, I beg you, please act on it."

*Annie's POV*

"I probably love you, Annie." After hearing those words, my ears went deaf.

Garret, my crush, just said he loves me. Probably, but lets just ignore that part.

"I- I um," c'mon, Annie, just tell him how you feel. "I-" KISS HIM!

"I understand, Annie, that you don't feel the same way, I just had to tell you."

Before he turned around, my arms were around his neck, our faces millimetres apart.
"I probably love you too."

Requests are open, I have all my other current requests written out, I just need to type them up but I'm on late shifts at work for the next few days so I'm not sure when I'll get the chance to do that, but I'll try to get them up asap.
