Karylle's POV

After a couple of months of being a guest judge in Showtime,  they offered me the chance to be a host. I'd be a fool to say no.

Later that afternoon, the hosts invited me to hang out with them.  "Welcome party para sa newest member ng Showtime family, " Billy said.

"Saan ba?," I asked as we walked to the parking lot. "At my house, " Billy said and we hopped into his car. "Ngangabu, dyan ako," Vice demanded. This made everyone's attention to him. But then, they stared at me too.

I realized that he wants to sit beside me. "Yokaba naman eh," Anne grunted and hugged me. She is really charming and sometimes childish too.  "Vice, gusto kong katabi si Anne eh," I teased him. This made him shut up and he decided to sit down beside Anne, for he didn't have a choice.

Anne and I chatted for a while and exchanged numbers. A little while after,  she fell asleep.  It made me realize how long we were traveling. "Billy, why do I suddenly feel like we are already going out of town?"I asked while poking his shoulder.

He laughed upon hearing this but Vhong answered for me.  "Actually, dun daw tayo sa rest house ni kuys sa Tagaytay." I nodded and started to observe everyone in the car.

Billy is driving and Vhong sits beside him. I am behind Billy, Anne is sleeping beside me,  Vice is on the phone with his headphones on, Ryan is at the back catching some sleep. Jugs and Teddy are in the car following us.

Bored, I reached for my bag and pulled out Catching Fire. Yes,  I sometimes carry books around with me. Opening it where the bookmark is placed,  I read excitedly. When it came to the part where Peeta announced that they are married AND Katniss is pregnant, I can't help but gasp. This made Anne stir up and woke her up eventually.

I muttered sorry and she shook her head.  "It's okay. Mababaw lang talaga ang tulog ko," she said glancing are what I was reading. "I heard na magkakamovie daw yang Hunger Games."

Vice's POV

I swear, her eyes sparked upon hearing what Anne said. And yes,  I've been staring at her.  And she doesn't seem to notice it since I'm wearing my sunglasses.

"I would totally watch it, " Karylle said and threw a glance at  me. I froze. She's got beautiful eyes and those lips—I mentally slapped myself for even thinking that. Gosh.

Suddenly,  my phone vibrated indicating a text message. It's from Anne. 'Hoy, baka matunaw yan sa titig mo!' My eyes widen due to shock and fear.

"Hey,  Anne! If you don't mind,  sinong ka-text mo?" Karylle curiously questioned. But before she could answer,  I interrupted. "Si Erwan , di ba Ngangabu?" If looks can kill, she'd be dead.  She looked terrified and she frantically nodded.  "Y-Yeah! Nangangamusta lang," she sent another message with a peace sign on it.

"Speaking of,  may boyfie ka ba ngayon, girl?" She asked Karylle. A glint of happiness was showing through her eyes and smile. "Ayieee!" The whole gang teased—except me. Blushing hard,  she nodded.

Strangely, I felt my heart ache a little. Why do I feel this way? Maybe I just miss my baby boy. Maybe.

Minutes after, we finally got to our destination. Everyone went inside the villa while I decided to go around for a stroll.

Standing by a nearby cliff,  I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. All of a sudden,  I hear a voice. "Hindi ka naman siguro tatalon dyan, ano?" It was Karylle. She stood beside me, staring in awe at the sunset. "Ang ganda. Hindi na kailangan ng filter," she said and I can't help but smile.

"Mukhang malungkot ka," she softly said. This is all I needed to put my guard down. And before I  knew it, tears were already streaming down my face. "Nakakamiss pala yung may nagmamalasakit...yung may nagmamahal," I looked at her and with my blurry vision, I could still see the worry written over her face.

She pulled me in to a hug. I hugged her back,  the tears not stopping to fall. Drawing circles on my back to comfort me,  I slowly regain composure. "Ang bango mo," I joked while I wiped my face.  She chuckled and said,  "Pinkwater eh!" We both laughed and headed to the house.

On my peripheral vision, I could see her shaking a bit and seems to feel cold. I then took off my jacket and put it on her.  She gave me a sweet smile and whispered thanks.
