"Hm, Peter," Mac coughed. "It's about your son. He's alive but there's more you two should know. The little guy was found behind the locked door. Officers didn't find anyone else but criminalizes did something. They found violence marks on your son' skin. Lots of them. It looked really bad. We can't confirm but... It's possible that your son has been sexually abused. Raped.."
"Excuse me?" Peter asked.
"It's hard to say this, Mr. and Mrs. Taylor. Promise, we will do everything to find the criminals, who hurt little Jimmy," Joe answered, nervously.
"Criminals? There may be lots of them? Oh no. Where's Jim, we want to see him," Sarah asked while taking good care of Leslie.
"Well... He is still downstairs. Unfortunately, you can't go down there. It's too dangerous. Jim's psyche is really harmed. He's scared of people. He thinks they want to hurt him. If he is ready to come out with other policemen, you get to see him. They are going to get him away from here," Mac added. "Seems like he hasn't seen the sunlight for all of these six years".
"Away from here? Where they are taking him?"
"Jim needs to be examined by the doctors and nurses. They need to create a diagnose and cover up all the bruises. Maybe, if Jim is ready to talk, to see what does he remember. Police are working on it by his side, don't worry," Joe added.
Peter sighed and walked back to her wife and Leslie. Turned their faces towards that house again, where Jim was kept, hoping the police will get him out soon. It seemed absurd when Mac told them they can't go there. On the other hand, maybe it was the right thing to do. Jim was scared of police officers, although they didn't want to harm him even more. Suddenly, everyone else started to running around. To the porch and back. Different conversations between officers made the Taylor family nervous and anxious. One police man took Jim out.
The world seemed to stop. Sarah felt all the blood flowing through her veins. She was about to black out but grabbed Peter's hand. Squeezed it hard.
"JIM! My boy.." Peter screamed and let go of Sarah. Running across the yellow sign by all the officers.
"Step back, Mr. Taylor. You're scaring off him," Joe dragged Peter away from Jim. "The situation gets worse like this,".
About 5.9 ft tall police officer, who was carrying Jim, tried to cover little boy's face with a towel. Jim's little eyes were already irritated. He needed to protect him. Peter couldn't see his son's face. Scaring him off would have made the moment worse. What if Jim jumped off and ran away?!
"Peter, listen to me. Step back, I said. Come to the Behavioral hospital. We are taking him there," Mac said and pushed Peter away again.
The family ran into the car they were driven there. Mac followed them, sat behind the steering wheel and started the engine. They followed all the way to the hospital.
Time was already 13:46 pm. Peter finally sent a PM to his boss, telling him he won't show up to work on that day. Explaining why.
Little Leslie was amazed by the siren and the people. He stared at the transmitter, that was buzzing something about emergency calls.
Hospital, where they were all driving to, was consultation and behavioral hospital. Specialists and nurses were asked to come outside the building to get the patient. It was about 15-minute long driveway.
As soon as the ambulance drove to the parking lot, all the doctors rushed to get little Jim. A stretcher was taken out carefully of the ambulance. Jim was just lying there silent. Body full of painkillers.
Mac also parked his car next to the hospital building. Before Mac had parked completely, Peter already rushed to the doctors.
Different important specialists pushed Jim on the stretcher into the building. Other doctors came to the hall, to register all of the details about the boy. Possible sexual abuse. Bruises. Wounds. All if it had to write down.
"Doctor, can we follow them? He's our son," Peter asked the doctor.
"Not yet. We have to put him the right diagnose. I'll let you know if you can," the doctor nodded, a smirk on his face.
"FUCK! Seriously?!" Peter pushed the chair with his legs. He was angry at everyone. No one let them see their little boy. "This can't be happening. Please, Sarah, you sit down,".
Sarah held the Leslie against her chest. Hoping he'll fall asleep soon. It was about to be a long day.
