Chapter 13
Lynnlee's POV Dream
Everything seemed so peaceful and quiet. I almost didn't trust it except I was in a field of flowers with birds chirping. It seemed so perfect. Almost like it wasn't real.
I gazed up at the sun that was setting. It was beautiful. Soon the stars and the moon would be out. Star gazing was something that Jay and I always loved to do.
"Hey, Jay look it's your favorite constellation." I looked over to my right to see no one. My left also held nothing. That's strange considering we never really leave each others sides. Maybe he was at home.
"He's dead." I flinched and looked around for the voice. After finding nothing I went back to watching the stars.
"Such a stupidly innocent girl. It's a shame that you're not fully human. If you were, you would be dead." I started to get really freaked out. No one else was around but me. I stood up to see if I could see anyone but found no one.
"Where are you?" I asked while listening for the voice again. It sounded like a child. The voice sounded somewhat familiar too. Almost like I've heard it before. A lot too.
"In the tree you idiot." I turned around to see a tree that I was laying under. I hadn't noticed it before. I followed the truck up to the top to see two small children.
"Do you need some help?" I asked them quietly. I noticed that one child was a boy about five and the other was a girl who looked to be his twin.
"We don't need to help you, idiot. We like it up here. Don't we brother?" the boy nodded but didn't talk.
"Ryan? Harper? Is that you guys?" The little boy shook his head and jumped down.
I looked at the little boy. He had black hair and green eyes. I remember being his age and having black hair and green eyes too.
The little girl jumped down next. Once she stood up I got a look at her. She also had black hair and green eyes. Only she also had the body and voice that I had once had when I was five.
My eyes went wide and she must've known why because she began to laugh. "It's funny watching your reactions to things you know. Never play pocket Lynnlee. Now, why don't we walk and talk." She reached out for my hand. I wanted to run away. I felt like puking and fainting at the same time but nothing came. I only stuck my hand out to hers.
My hand took hold of hers and I felt the coldness of her fingers wrapped around mine. She started walking forward through the flowers. Only with each step, she took they began to burn into a path for us to walk on. I looked back to see the brother walking behind us.
He didn't say a word or even look up. Could that really be my twin brother? Why does he look so sad? How come he isn't evil like the little me is? I'm not evil in the future so does that mean he is?
"We are here." I turned back to see that we were no longer in the meadow but instead in front of a small pond. "Where exactly are we?"
"You don't remember? This is where we were born. Daddy creates us with the help of mommy's magic. They did it right here."
