Chapter 19

I want a nap.

Enjoy this very late chapter from me and by the way I am on a sugar high so I edited and fixed everything and wrote a whole new chapter in less than half an hour and I think I need to stop eating so much sugar when I'm mad. But anyways...Enjoy the chapter!!!!

Chapter 19

He nodded and finally began to talk.

"We did all of that to you. I know. I feel like a shit father because of it. Your mother feels the same too. We didn't want to do any of it. In fact, when we first found you on our doorstep we thought that it was a blessing from God. Your mother here is infertile. We thought you were a gift from God himself. But after a while, we noticed something in you. You would cry for a bottle and we would bring it to you only to see that you already had one. We never knew where it came from. Then one day he came. He gave us specific instructions on how to care for you.

Number one Force her to do all of the chores in the house.

Number two Don't show her any love.

Number three Never let her have the chance of going to school.

Number four No friends whatsoever.

Number five Never tell her any of this." He paused for a moment and my mother spoke next.

"He gave us those instructions. We told him to screw off but then he began to send people to watch us. The one named Ben watched us for a great deal of time. He forced us to follow the rules or else he would kill us. So we followed the rules. However, we managed to get around a few of them. Like the education part. Having a scientist and a writer as parents well we had that stuff everywhere. We would purposely leave books out full of information that you might someday need. We made sure to incorporate it into our jobs to make sure that no one knew what we were really doing. Every day we left you and left you to do chores. At first, we didn't beat you but then Ben began to force us to. Your father lost his mind when you were thirteen. After the twins were born. He couldn't stand hurting you but there was no escape from them. Until we found out about Sally. Either way, we took all of those vacations so that we didn't have to treat you so horribly. We worked so much and so hard so you didn't have to get hurt." She began to cry horribly and my father started to hug her.

"When the twins came along we started to get even more scared. We never intended for them to witness what we had to do to you. That was something we never would wish upon any parent. We hated it ourselves. I'm really sorry Lynnlee." Soon after my mother started crying my father followed along.

I turned around and began to walk to my truck. Jay and Jason shouted my name but I ignored them. I opened the back door and looked at the twins. "Guys. Will you please come out here with me?" They looked at each other than to Lilly. Lilly nodded.

The next thing I knew I was walking back to my parents with Sally behind us and the twins hands in my own.

Our parents hadn't noticed us just yet. I looked at Jay and noticed that he was worried. I winked at him and walked up to my parents. The twins hid behind me because they were scared.

I made a coughing noise and the two looked up at me. "I may not fully forgive you for what you did but that doesn't mean that my opinion is the same for the twins. If they forgive you then so will I. If not...I never want to see either of you two again." They nodded and I nudged the twins to talk. Harper clung to me like I was her mother and Ryan held onto my arm not letting go.
