Wylan slid his head joint in at the top of his flute, putting his fingers on and positioning it beneath his mouth and making sure it felt natural. (BTW I play flute. I do this after I put together my flute.) Wylan nodded to himself and slid his case beneath his seat, which was black and plastic and forced him to sit up straight. Ms. Genya Safin (She just feels like she'd teach music to me, sorry if you disagree) stepped up onto the podium and clapped twice.

"Okay, today we'll be reviewing..." Wylan tuned out, as he saw Jesper waving wildly from the hall. Wylan raised his hand.

"Yes?" She turned her attention to him and Wylan stammered,

"I–I–I have to use the restroom." She waved him away and he scrambled up, knocking over his stand. He blushed furiously and righted the stand.  Then he pushed out the door of the classroom, muttering his apologies while kids snickered behind their hands.  Jesper grabbed his arm and dragged him down the hall and into a janitors closet. (I know what some of you might be thinking.... but NO, that is not happening.... yet😏). Wylan looked bewildered, then saw Nina and Matthias in the small closet.

"Okay people, now that everyone is here, you have to know that Kaz isn't in class.  And I think that note might have something to do with it," Nina said, and Wylan could tell it wasn't Kaz she was worried about, but the consequences of whatever he was doing, and how it might affect Inej.

"Should we go find him?" asked Wylan timidly, he was new to this group of people and didn't really know what they did.

"Maybe not find him.  We're going to my house to plan a way to be there tonight," Nina said.

"Won't your parents get mad?" Wylan questioned, he knew if he left school and his father knew, he wouldn't be able to sit for a week.  Nina smiled bitterly.

"My father won't care.  I doubt he's even home."  Matthias led them out into the parking lot.  Wylan found it a problem that they could walk to their lockers, get their stuff, and just walk out, without anyone stopping them.  They all crowded in Matthias' truck and drove to Nina's.  Wylan slipped off his sneakers at the door before going inside, where Nina was waiting in the kitchen for them to choose snacks.

"We have pretzels, fig newtons, cereal bars, fruit, veggies, whatever you want!" she declared, waving her hands like one of the women on Wheel of Fortune.  Matthias smiled and said,

"What about waffles?"  Nina squealed and started jumping up and down, clapping.  Jesper leaned down and whispered in his ear,

"Nina's a waffleholic.  It's a real problem, she's been on diets, like, ten times this year."  Nina stopped jumping and looked at Jesper with fake anger.

"And I have managed to loose six pounds, you little skiv," she spat, waggling her finger in the air.  Wylan laughed softly and Nina grabbed Matthias' shoulders, shaking him.

"Please make me waffles!  Please!"  He smiled and leaned down, kissing her lightly on the lips.

"Of course, my little red bird."  Nina led Jesper and Wylan into the family room, and she supplied two computers, two notepads, and six different colored pens for each.

"While I help Matt, you two start figuring out as much as you can about that new gang, I have a feeling they have something to do with this."  Wylan nodded, him and Jesper were sitting across form each other, and he kept glancing up as he worked, tracing the outlines of his features.  He would have to draw him later.  Wylan thought to himself, Ugh, why does he have to be so hot?

Hey guys!  So, I know this chapter seems like complete BS, but the two people I'm not good at are Matthias and Wylan.  Sorry.  They are amazing people, characters, whatever, but I just can't.  I'm sorry.  But thanks for reading!!!!  Please comment, oooooo, and I have a very serious thing to tell you!  You guys get to decide what POV the next chapter features, like Inej, Kaz, Wylan, Matthias, or Nina.  Please comment it, whichever gets at least five comments for it I'll do, or I'll just choose.  Thanks for reading once more, don't forget to comment!
