When I heard the door close, I sighed. I didn't mean to be so distant, but I felt pushed away. Besides I had no idea what he had on mind, what he he wanted to tell me the next day. I was nervous, trembling in anxiety. My stupid brain was thinking only about the worst.

"Jonathan, can I join?"

Sydney snapped me out of my thoughts, making me look at her. The first instinct was to shrug, but I knew she didn't do anything to me. She was the good person the whole time.

"Sure," I replied, trying to understand the movie in the TV.

"I know it's not my business, but did something happen between you and Evan? Out of nowhere you stopped talking to him. Did he hurt you?" She asked silently, carefully watching me.

I should tell her. But what? Well, you know Sydney, he refused to sleep with me, because he wants to tell me something tomorrow. Amazing, right? This sounds like I'm a horny teenager, crying for not having a sex, dammit.

"He didn't hurt me. He has been acting really nice," I replied, smiling a little.

"You like him, don't you?" She said mischievously, making me panic a bit.

"W-what? Like him? No. Why? Is it too much visible? Do I act like one?" I asked quickly, feeling my racing heart.

"Calm down, no. I can see it in your eyes, that's all. I'm fine with that, really. Besides, he's single for what I know," she looked at the TV, still smiling.

"Sydney? You should tell Tyler," I quickly changed subject, even though I remembered promising Evan not telling anyone.

"What?" She replied, looking back at me.

"Tell him about you and Kelly. He doesn't deserve to be treated like this. I know I'm the last person who should be giving some advices, but try to see through his eyes. Would you be happy if you was living with Evan, loved him, and then you wouldn't have any ideas that he's cheating on you? It's not fair."

"How... how do you know about us?" She asked me with worried expression.

I can't sell Evan out. That's not fair to him.

"It's written in your eyes. I mean it, Sydney. He maybe likes somebody else, but he's afraid to hurt Kelly?" I guessed, thinking about Craig.

"You sounds like Evan. I'll talk to Kelly about it, I promise."

I nodded my head, happy that she wasn't digging into my life and the reason why I knew about them being a couple. After few more minutes, there was a doorbell. Sydney stood up, and I knew immediately that was Luke and Bryce.

My theory was confirmed right after I heard they're voices greeting Sydney. In a few seconds they both walked into the room. I smiled at them, standing up. I was pulled into a bear hug by Luke, feeling already better. My eyes moved to Bryce, trying to predict his situation.

"Well, I wanted to talk with you, Sydney. Can I?" Luke said, dragging the girl out of the room.

I shook my head upon his cheap way how to get me and Bryce alone. I sat down again, smiling at him politely.

"How are you, Jonathan?" He asked me.

He seemed to be one of the nicest people on the world. I felt so bad for him, if my theory was right. I didn't wish him any bad, and mainly not being raped by Ohm. Just as I was.
