Jamie had appeared next to my side in 30 minutes.
"Sean what the hell happened?!" He shouted in the currently quiet room.
"What do you mean what happened?! I'm in fucking labor!" I shouted back, pissed off.
Jamie slapped me, the sting burning my face. "Watch it. Or you'll get it worse when we leave."
"What did I do?" I pleaded quietly.
"They drugged you up with money I don't have." He gritted his teeth.
I hit the call button above my head, I needed a distraction.
"What are you doing?" Jamie said angrily.
"I'm ready." I huffed.
"Don't you dare get a fucking attitude with me." He gripped my shoulder at his words.
A nurse rushed in just as I sensed he was about to do much worse.
"Is everything..." She paused at the sight as Jamie let go of me. "Alright?" She finished.
"No. She wants out, now." I put a smile on my face as I tried to change the atmosphere.
"Alright well let me go get the doc and some help and you'll feel much better very soon." We shared a smile as she exited the room.
"Did you get the suitcase?" I asked my boyfriend timidly.
"Ya." He answered flatly.
The nurse re-entered the room with the doctor and a nurse following her. Dr. Mi had told Jamie that he can't be in the room with me during the surgery while the nurses, who's names were Amy and Jane, settled me in a wheelchair.
"Fine. But you better be careful with him." I heard Jamie say behind us as everyone exited the room and took me into surgery.

"Listen Sean, just breathe. Trust me it'll be ok." I gripped Amy's hand as she spoke to me. "I have a daughter that Dr. Mi delivered who is perfect. She wouldn't have made it without him. She just turned 2."
I kept listening to her voice since that was all I could do because I had my eyes screwed shut.
I hadn't said anything up until this point when Dr. Mi shoved his hand into my guts he just cut open.
"Holy shite what te fook are ya doin?!" I screamed, jerking as I opened my eyes.
"I'm sorry Sean but I have to get the umbilical cord off of her waist." He apologized and continued doing his job while Jane did hers by injecting more painkillers into my bloodstream.
"Ok. Just about done." He murmured as he took his hand out. Then he reached back in, pulling a wimper from my throat, and my child from my stomach.
I let out a breath I hadn't realized I was holding as Dr. Mi handed Anna to Jane to clean her off. Amy helped Dr. Mi stitch me up.
A minute later, Jane handed a wailing baby to me wrapped in a pink blanket.
"Congratulations Mr. McLoughlin." Jane said.
I gasped. "She's so tiny." I whispered.
"But very healthy." Jane confirmed.
"Thank you." I whispered again as a few tears escaped my blue eyes.
"It's ok dear." She took some gauze from the stack next to her and wiped my face.
"She looks just like you." She told me. And she was right. Anna could be a dead ringer of me, except for her nose which was Jamie's.
Anna's screams died down and she began to focus on me. Her eyes were squinted, so we couldn't see her eye color, but she was still beautiful.
She fell asleep in my arms, holding onto my pinky.
"Alright Sean, were all done." Dr. Mi stood up from his spot next to my bed.
Amy held out her hands to take Anna from me. So I handed my daughter over to the kind nurse.
"Can she stay in my room?" I asked tiredly. Dr. Mi looked at the window, where Jamie was looking in, before answering me.
"I suppose so. I'll have Jane bring her to your room after you get some rest." He smiled.
"Ok." I got out before falling asleep...
