I wake up in my bed. It is so comfortable, I love it. Next to me my is lying my beloved wife. She is gorgeous and I love how the sunlight shines on her skin. She seems so peaceful, when she sleeps. She reminds me of space, where everything is silent and peaceful and I could just stare into the vast for hours, if I didn't have a job to do.
I get up, cautiously, so that I won't wake my wife. She is so accepting of my job and stays home alone when I am on my adventurous trips; she deserves to be spoiled by me when I am home. I walk into the kitchen, where I begin to make breakfast. It's just pancakes today, but I know she will love it. She loves pancakes almost as much as I love her.
When I have made about 5 pancakes already, my daughter stumbles into the kitchen, wiping the sleep out of her eyes. Her hair is even messier than usual and she looks just like a fairy in her sweet dress.
"Mommy!" She squeals as she sees me. I came home last night and my princess hadn't seen me yet. She tuns to me in excitement and I hug her with all my love for her. I make her sit at the kitchen table and tell her to narrate to me what has happened while I was gone.
She tells me about a few things with much joy shining in her eyes and I listen to her smiling. I am glad to finally be back. I love space but my family is the most important thing to me. When I have made a few more pancakes, I tell my little girl to tell her mama that breakfast is ready.
She runs upstairs smiling and I make cocoa. When she is upstairs I hear her wake my lovely partner in crime and love and life. "Mama! Mama! Mommy is back! She's here! She's made pancakes! Come and get up, Mommy is here!" I have to smile again.
This will be a great day.
