"A source of unconditional love, strength and courage. Guardian Angels help to remind us that we are never alone."

12th of June, 2017.

I stood beside Remi, as we watched her from afar. "Did they tell you?" Remi questioned. I shook my head, "They really should of especially if your going to be her guardian for a life time."

Looking down at the little blonde nutter I frowned, "They didn't but I read it." She looked up in surprise. Her big brown eyes sparkled slightly in the mortal realm due to the bright sun, I stepped forwards closer towards the human.

"We can't get close!" Remi declared grabbing on to my shirt sleeve, I felt her pull me back towards her. I looked back firmly planting my feet against the floor, my eyes stared deeply in to her nervous face. "She might see us."

"Our wings are safely bound," I pointed to my back with my free arm. Reluctantly she let go as I smiled at her. "Your too nervous Remi."

"I am surprised that you aren't," she commented as she pulled at her jumper that hung loosely on her body. I picked up an olive from one of the dishes and happily dropped it in to my mouth. "I mean it's been a year, are you not -" I looked down at her as I swallowed the black olive. "Scared?"

I shook my head, "I mean I am a bit nervous to be back." I held my hand out, it was covered in dotted purple marks. Permanent bruises. My veins a dark purple staining my white skin causing my body to appear like an abstract painting. I let my arm fall to my side, revealing Remi looking sad as I studied my changed body. "I mean look at me, I am a freaking piece of modern art," I laugh as I stretch out my arms. With that Remi laughed a little more.

I turned around to see my mortal, her hair was blonde and cut to her shoulder. Her wavy hair suited her round face and big eyes, as I got closer I began to notice her slim hands fiddling with the straw in her glass. The glass held only a few ice cubes which were beginning to melt in the hot sun. I casually moved to the bar with Remi standing close beside me, we can't look to suspicious especially if she can see through our enchantments.

Emily, the name came to mind as I looked at her from behind. I recalled it from the files me and Wes had studied, she appeared to be on a date of sorts? I smiled a little almost in excitement of seeing 'love' at work after all us Angels have no need for it. Emily's companion had rejoined her, his hair was light and his skin dark and obvious fake tan. His black suit made him stick out against the rest of the Londoners that sat in the local bar.

Remi gently touched my shoulder, causing me to turn and face her. "She appears to not know her heritage, or what she can do," I nodded. Remi grasped my hand for a moment. "Be careful. I have to go back." I nodded as she stepped out from the crowd.

Turning back to her I picked up another olive, "Say hi to Wes for me!" She nodded as she spread her crisp white wings, forgetting about Emily. I watched as her wings gracefully lifted themselves up then down barely touching the floor but effortlessly lifting her from the ground. I watched after her as she soon flew out of view.

Looking over at Emily I noticed her gaze towards where Remi had stood, her eyes were wide almost in shock. I held my hand above my mouth, full of olives, my mouth slightly open. She saw her.

"Emily," The tanned man said, I tipped the olives in to my mouth as I studied their lips. "What's wrong?" I watched her eyes as they tried to understand what she had just seen, they were black. I could see the darkness glittering within her pupils, she turned looking back at the man.

"Oh, nothing," her voice was soft as she pushed the sighting away. "I thought I saw something." I smiled in relief, looking up at the sky I took a deep breath.

Glad to be back, I thought to myself as the hot sun beamed on to my altered skin.

I step out from the crowd and begin to look directly at Emily, wanting to test whether she can see me. I picked up an Olive and chucked it in her direction. As it landed on her table I saw the man look around in confusion, causing Emily to look my way too. I crossed my arms as I watched her face try to pin point who threw it, she showed confusion. She couldn't see me, if she could she'll be in shock right now, I smiled as I felt a bit victorious. She soon turned back to her date and continued their conversation.

I pulled a mobile phone out of my pocket and began to type in to 'notes' what I have witnessed thus' far, a book and pen would be too bulky after all - plus who said heaven can't be modern?

I open the messenger app and clicked on the group chat myself, Wes and Remi are in.

"Hey, Wes. I am sending you something check it out. Also my purpleness has gotten stronger since the other day's test," I entered in to the touch-screen device before selecting 'send'. As a whoosh sound followed I send Wes an attachment - the note file.

I tucked the phone back in to my pocket and looked over to Emily, I moved closer to the pair, pretty much sat with them. "Emily you have to talk to me, what's wrong you seem distant," the male spoke kindly as he held her hand.

She pulled her hand away from his grasp before taking a deep breath, "An old friend of mine disappeared, I think I told you about him? Ngel." The man nodded as I widened my eyes, they were friends?

"You'll probably find the old fart kicked the bucket or ran away with a hot receptionist," he spoke harshly about him, which I noticed had caused Emily to look at him with anger. She slammed her hand on to the table as she glared at him - with a look that could kill.

"How dare you! If he had gone somewhere he would have told me," She picked up her glass of now melted Ice and threw it at the disrespectful man. "You're just jealous that I spend more time with that 'old fart' then you, Ade!"

She angrily pushed away her chair, swung her bag over her shoulder and marched towards the entrance. I looked down at the, now, wet and melting man. I shook my head. "She did the right thing, I would of done it too but my boss would have been very angry."

I followed after the tense Emily, and smiled. These are going to be some fun years.
