Katie woke up to someone whimpering. She opened her eyes and saw Sans shaking. He had let go of her sometime ago after a nightmare.

"Sans?" Katie asked concerned, slowly reaching for him as not to startle him. But the skeleton flinched when his name was called and turned towards Katie.

"S-Stay away." Sans said weakly, and this made Katie move to him. She hugged him close to her and slowly rubbed his back, whispering soft nothing to him to make sure he was going to be okay. The skeleton sobbed and hugged back, and whispered things to Katie. Like 'You shouldn't be here. Frisk should have.' and 'Why can't we have a happy ending?'. Katie realized Sans had some form of PTSD. After some time Sans fell back asleep.

Spencer heard the same thing, being a light sleeper. But he didn't wake all the way up. He kept his eyes closed, trying to stay out of other's business. He fell back asleep, dreaming about Shoryukens and spiders. Not at the same time, mind you.

Katie was curious about who Frisk was but she wasn't going to ask. She could guess that Sans had been through enough, and didn't need any more stress. Then she heard a noise from somewhere. She looked around, and then noticed Alphys was gone. Carefully, as not to disturb Sans, Katie moved him onto the plume of Nebula. She went to Spencer and gently shook him.

"Hey, Hey come on wake up." Katie said quietly, again not wanting to disturb anyone.

His eyes shot open. He reached for his sword, but he had taken it off to sleep. He relaxed when he saw his cousin.

"What's up?" He whispered, stifling a yawn.

"Alphys is gone. And I heard a not so friendly noise." Katie said softly, then she looks back at Nebula. Sans could be seen in the dragon's mane, and his face seemed peaceful.

"I don't trust what I heard near you or Sans. And no way Alphys should have to deal with it." The girl said in a harsh and hushed tone. And she looked over to a note on the ground. She moves over to it quietly, and then picked it up.

Spencer had lit his left index finger on fire for some light and had retrieved his blade. He looked over at his cousin and saw her reading a note. He decided to let her read it while he looked for what had made the noise.

Katie noticed another noise. She turned her head to the left, her eyes gave an odd glow. Her mouth curved into a snarl. She moved to where she heard the noise and found an elevator.

"What the heck?" Katie asked, still keeping her voice down. She looks at Spencer to see what he wanted to do.

Spencer shrugged and jumped into the elevator and pushed a button. He held the door open for his cousin, who joined him. Spencer hit the close buttons.

Katie got in and she notice a buzzing. Almost as if there was a low battery. She didn't mention anything but Chara did.

"You do know when this elevator closes it will shut down and drop you to the very bottom?" The ghost asked just as the doors close.

"Wait what?" Spencer asked before the elevator started falling. He unsheathed his blade and stabbed it into the elevator shaft. It didn't stop the elevator, but it slowed considerably. Spencer barely was able to keep the blade in the wall. Spencer's face showed his strain. "What kinda elevator is this?" Spencer asked Chara.

"That's not the point. Now Chara. Who is Frisk?" Katie asked and the ghost flinched. Chara was not able to look at them. The elevator came to a crash, but the two humans were fine. And Katie continues to look at Chara.

"Who is Frisk?" Katie asked again.

Spencer stood up, angry.

"Thanks for stopping the elevator from crushing my body, Spencer." Spencer muttered in a high pitch, inaccurate impression of Katie's voice. "Oh sure, no problem." He responded in a deep, inaccurate impression of himself. Katie swatted him and he shut up. He listened as Chara explained.
