Spencer opened his eyes and saw Muffet's face above him. He lay on the cold stone of the barrier room. He bolted upright, unsheathing his sword and igniting his palm. He was still in the fight, mentally and couldn't see anything truly.

"Give her back! Give her back! I'll kill that flower, kill it, kill it, kill it! Kill it with fire!" Spencer shouted swinging his blade and throwing fire everywhere. Muffet grabbed his hand and he looked at her. This snapped him out of it. Spencer apologized, sheathed his blade and quenched his hand. He looked at his favorite spider. The right side of her hair was down and tumbled past her shoulders while the other side was normal. He handed her her ribbon.

"I'm sorry." Spencer said, quietly, tears coming to his eyes. He looked down. Muffet was confused.

"What for, dearie?" She asked, pulling his head up to look at her. He was crying.

"I abandoned you. I could have grabbed you and jumped. You wouldn't have been absorbed. I'm the worst boyfriend ever." He concluded, morosely. Muffet held him as he cried. She shh'd him and said he was not the worst boyfriend ever. He eventually stopped crying. He noticed the room was empty.

The others ran out when they could and were in the throne room. Sans was shaking Katie, hoping she wasn't dead.

"Come on, wake up! Sweetheart, come on! You can't leave me! Katie!" Sans was crying, he wouldn't believe if his beloved girl was dead. Katie felt something wet on her face and something prest against it. She opened her eyes.

"Did I die or something? " Katie asked, which made Sans look up and into her eye. More tears fell from the skeleton's eye sockets, and Katie brushed them away.

Spencer noticed sunlight streaming through where the barrier was. He hadn't seen this much sunlight in a week. He smiled as he felt the familiar warmth on his cheeks. But his reaction was paltry compared to what the monsters showed. They either wept or laughed or just generally freaked out. Only the friends of the humans kept their composure. The party walked together through the barrier. This lead to the following scene.

Katie walked next to Sans, mainly because she couldn't walk on her own. But now the group looked out to a sunset. It was a truly a beautiful sight. Katie had tears in her eyes as she knew she could see the sun again, but not only that. She could have lover that didn't truly hate her, that had never seen the sun either.

Muffet closed four of her eyes, leaving the middle one open. It was too bright for her. Spencer looked over at everyone. To the very far left of him, Ra looked up at the source of his power. Next to him, Jade sat back, looking down on the scene before her. Shuriken buzzed around, a blur of movement like a large dragonfly. Evelyn sat, licking her paws. Fuyu waved his tails, trying to see what everyone else was up to. Then Sans and Katie. Papyrus asking what the sun was. Toriel looked at the castle in the distance. Asgore next to her holding the hands of his children, smiling down at them. Asriel was between the two, holding their hands. Chara's hand was being held by Asgore's, and they looked sullen Then Muffet and himself. To his right, Undyne scooted closer to Alphys, who looked flustered by this. Mettaton stood, basking in the natural stage lights. Galaxy and Flare sat side by side, heads together happy in each other's presence. Nebula and Stella sat nearby, watching the party. Spencer looked ahead and took in the view, it was strange, he never knew there was a castle nearby.

Katie laughed and looked out.

"Never thought I was ever going to see this again." The girl said, then she looked at Asgore. She could tell that he was happy to have his children back.

"So King Asgore?" Katie asked making the king look at her. "Who will be your ambassador to the humans?"

"Really Katie? Who do you think? Donald Trump?" Spencer said.

"Oh hell no!" Katie replied. Spencer laughed and said in a deep voice

"Build a wall." He said, laughing more. The monsters started looking at him funny. He started to explain, but he couldn't.

"If I wasn't so weak, I would slap you right now." Katie said. Spencer wiped tears from his eyes.

"But seriously, I think it's obvious. It's gonna be us." Spencer said.

Katie glared at her cousin. But she looked back at king Asgore with a kinder look.

"I would be happy to be your ambassador, Asgore. Even if every human around threats to kill me, I will stand tall. Never going back on a promise." Katie said with as much authority as she could. Sans looked at her with surprise, but then pulled her face to his in a quick kiss. Katie blinked and had a dusting of pink on her face, but she smirked at her skeleton.

"I think I'll make a good ambassador too. I mean, one ambassador for the whole world? I'm sorry but that doesn't add up. I think you'll need all the help you can get. If I know humans, and I do, we don't like change." Spencer said ominously. "Many will assume you guys are a massive hoax, or that you're all just crazy people with plastic surgery."

"What's plastic surgery?" Undyne asked. Spencer kept going.

"So, I think two ambassadors are better than one." Spencer said, shrugging.

Katie looked over at her cousin. She had a look of understanding on her face with a blush.

"I agree. But with all the shit we have been through... We handled monsters just fine. Say. You did say you... You know what. Nevermind. We do need all the help we can get." Katie said and looked back out. "One of us can stay with our own kind and the other with monster. I for one can't say if I'm human or monster." Katie continues, and that last comment makes everyone look at her.

"How about both?" Chara suggested. The whole party looked at them, they'd been so quiet. That seemed reasonable.

"Well, I don't know where I'd rather be. Here or in the human world. Katie?" Spencer asked his cousin.

"You should go back to our family. And I can stay with these guys. I am almost 18 anyway. I need to 'fly the coop' if you will." Katie said with a small smile. Her soul popped up in front of her, and she then took her monster form. And as Katie's form changed so did her soul. It took the shape of a upside-down heart.

"Well, would anyone in the human world want to live with me? Besides you and possibly our family?" Katie asked.

Spencer let out a hmph. He knew she was right, but he didn't want to admit it. It was messed up, but he knew people would be uncomfortable near her. They would likely say nothing, but they would fear her. He feared her power as well, even though he was the second strongest human next to her. She unbalanced things, she didn't seem to have a weakness. Spencer would stay with the humans, since his powers weren't unstoppable and he was still young enough to live there. But he didn't want to leave Muffet to her cafe alone. It was a cruel heartless thing to do.

"You know I can help too. I may be some powerful being. But I am not heartless. And you forget the others." Katie said in thoughts as she looked out. Her fur shimmered in the light. She was enjoying the last of the sun's rays as it disappeared behind the mountains that were far off. The stars shined down on the group and Katie couldn't help but let her head raise to the wind and sky.

"This is going to be fun." Spencer cackled as the sun went down. Muffet put a hand on his mouth to silence him.

"Just enjoy the moment." She said, and he was silent as the monsters saw the stars for the first time.
