Evil pretends to be your friend and takes its mask off at the end.

"We're not doing that! Let me fucking go!"
I learned what that word meant after I heard Ian stub his toe.
"Ms.Lynn, would you stop kicking me?! You're not going to die if you are who I think you are."
I continued pounding my fists at his back.
He was a strong one, Dyllon.
He carried me over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and intended to throw me into the ocean. "Who do you think I am? What if I'm not that person? I'm gonna bloody die, let me go!"
Ian sat on the sidelines. He was terrified of Dyllon's temper as well, even though he was mature and formal at the same time.
"I'm gonna scream bloody murder if you do this."
"Well, when the police see the bruises on my back, they will conjure up the story in their head. If you don't want to die a slow and painful death, at least drowning won't hurt as much."
I sighed in defeat. I had the slight possibility of surviving this because I dont believe a word this lunatic says.
"Fine, what do I have to do?"
Dyllon settled me down and picked a shell on a chain out from his pocket.
"Wear this and go into the deep end."
He pointed into the distance of the ocean.
It was night too so the waves were crashing hard. Won't be so difficult to drown.
I took the chain and hung it over my neck.
"Well, are you gonna go, Ms.Lynn?"
"Just let me soak in my last moments as a living being on land."
"You sound exactly like Josh when he goes to the dentist. Just go."
I turner and starred moving my legs stiffly towards the water. I met the border of the water, the sea foam occasionally hitting my feet. "Okay, move your legs Cari."
I forced my legs to move toward the water, one after another. I made it to the point to where you could only see from the shoulder up.
"Okay, Ms.Lynn! Now duck!"
I groaned, took a deep breath.....
And a wave pulled me under.
I flailed my arms at an attempt to resurface but it was not helping.
Okay Carl, if you're the right person, you should survive this. So fucking survive this!
I could see blackness started to crawl up into my vision. Nope, nope!
Stay awake. If you fall asleep, you might never wake up again.
But then what do I wake up to?
Ian won't be with me forever, as well as anyone else. People are already out to kill me, what difference it make now?
I opened my mouth and let the water trespass. My mouth was dry even if I was under water.
I closed my eyes as the waves sang me a lullaby till I fell asleep.
.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.
"Ri, you're an idiot. How do you fall asleep in the water?"
I didn't respond. "Ri, your face is a bit red. Do you have a fever?"
"...close. "
"What?"
"You're too close."
Ian realized how close we both were in and quickly got off of me. "Sorry..."
I brushed the sand off of me. My face felt really heated even though the rest of my body was shivering as an attempt to keep warm.
Is this how it felt like to be embarrassed?
"Ms.Lynn."
I looked over to where Dyllon stood.
"So I'm alive," I told him.
"You're alive," he responded.
I clasped my hand over the shell around my neck. I'm alive but for what?
No human would have survived that.
"I want to go to bed. I need to rest my head."
Dyllon started talking to Ian as I walked to the car. Why does my heart feel so queasy?
"Ri, hurry up and get in the car," Ian shouted at me.
"Don't rush me! I almost drowned!"
"Well, you're not dead like you said before at the hospital."
"Oh, so it's my fault I'm not dead?"
"I was the one who did CPR on you. You should be thanking me."
"CPR?"
"He took it as an excuse to kiss you," Dyllon sang.
"Dyllon, shut up!"
"Pfft, Ian, you're so desperate."
"Excuse me, I was saving your life."
"Why didn't you let Dyllon do it? He seems to have more experience."
"You both fight like a married couple," Dyllon groaned.
Ian stayed quiet as he moved towards the front of the car. Ah, it's fun to embarrass people.
As we drove back to the house, Dyllon stated a few things that had to do.
"Every morning, you have to take a swim so you don't experience water withdrawals. They'll cause strokes, dizziness, and illness if you do experience them. You have to drink water whenever your throat gets dry, don't wait. It might be a life or death situation for you if you do wait. You will get hotter more than others if in the sun for too long so you have to carry around with you a specific type of sunblock that I'll give to you tomorrow."
"Dyllon?," I managed to say during his long speech of instructions. "Why do I need this? What makes me so different from all of you?"
"It's not your tine to know that yet but I'll tell you soon if you don't figure out by then, Ms.Lynn."
"Dude, why do you keep calling Cari Ms,Lynn? I'd assume she's the same age as us. I don't see why you have to be so formal with her."
"I have my reasons," he put it simply.
Dyllon dropped us off and we traded goodbyes.
We both noticed the lights were on and Ian ones the door cautiously.
He put a finger to his lips, gesturing for me to stay quiet.
I nodded and he crept inside the living room.
How ironic would it be if we died here?
I hid behind the sofa as Ian jumped from behind it to confront the trespassers when I heard him gasp.
"Mom? Dad?"
