The water sparkles like gemstones.
.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.
"Cari, get up."
I frowned and crossed my arms. "I don't wanna."
Ian sighed. "You want me to pick you up?"
"I just don't wanna go to the water."
"You want to experience another water withdrawal? Okay, I'll leave you to it then."
"Fine then!"
I covered myself in the comforters and screamed into the pillow. Ian can be such a brat sometimes.
I've developed a fear of water and he can't just leave me alone.
Why can't I take a bath? Because it has to be in natural salt water.
But then again, I dont know when Dean is going to be home and I dont wanna be here when he is.
He is a blood sucking vampire, after all.
I sighed and got out of bed. "Ian, I'll go!"
"Good! I'm coming up," he shouted from down the stairs.
I opened the closet door and picked out a swim suit. "What about this one, Ian?"
He looked at it and shook his head.
"Choose something less revealing."
A'ight, so I picked out a baggy tank top with thin sleeve straps and wore a swimsuit underneath it.
"Let's go. I dont wanna be here when your bro gets home."
"Same."
We walked into his garage and sat in his white car. I dont know how else to describe it, it's a five seater, and it's white.
We drove a quick drive to the beach and I let Ian lead me to the ocean.
"Or I can just watch you go in. Okay bye-"
He picked me up and threw me into the water.
"Ian!"
"What? What're so afraid of?"
"I just don't like the water anymore."
"Is it because of my brother?"
I stood up and shrugged. "He's kinda scary."
"Not kinda. Look, as long as I'm around, you don't have to worry."
"Sweet, Ian, but I dont think you have what it takes to beat up a vampire."
"You'd be surprised."
I rubbed my chin where Dean's nail marks were imprinted.
"Is something wrong?"
I didn't tell him about the nail marks because I knew he would be fuming. "No. Okay I'm going in."
I started walking into the ocean until I couldn't feel the ground. That's when my legs were getting that number and heavy feeling again.
Ian caught up to me. "You look concerned."
"My legs feel really weird."
"Your legs always feel weird. Shake it off."
"I would if I could."
I ducked underwater and surveyed my area. And I almost choked on water when I saw why my legs were so numb.
They were gone.
Replaced with a fish's tail.
If only screams could be heard underwater.
.*.*.*.*.*.*.*.
"Where's your legs?!" Ian ducked underwater when he heard my screams of a dying whale.
I flapped my fin over and under the ocean, hoping my legs would appear. No luck.
"I don't know! Do we call Dyllon?"
