if ever i grew on the land
where the humans lived
will i be as happy
to walk with limbs
on the busy streetand meet new man
to hold my hand
and be as the woman
who prettily live on reekwear robes and silks
and glass slippers
eat a taste of fresh deluxe
and drink a milk
from a freezing boxtry to swing and jive
a night of fun and dance
to the tunes of jazz
sway my hair
with my laced gownfeel the pillows on my back
grace the tulle hanged on rack
watch those men who live in the cube
and ride on wheels
and dive on the lubeif ever i grew on the land
and be human on the sand
will i ever know to be
one, fine, young woman
un-strange and un-weird
and normal to be seen
as a quite, and so humanly
to be a human
