Chapter 14

"Well I could have sworn I saw him put one in" I cooded.

I nervously giggled and paused shrugging my shoulders about half way. My mother gave me a weird look before going to rejoin Rose, who was waiting for her outside. I watched her walk out side carefully making sure she didn't bring the subject up again, my mom couldn't find out I went to that dance, not today, not ever!

" What was that about?" David questioned.

I raised my hand signaling him to stop talking. I listened to my mom.

" I'm sorry what were you saying?" I started to panic, my heart started to pound faster and faster and I swear if I had a mirror my face would have been red.

" I can't remember anyways could not have been important" Rose responded.

I sighed of relief. I turned to face David, he looked so confused.

" what was that about?" he repeated almost as if I didn't hear him the last time.

I took a deep breath and started to explain.

" ok... I kind of wasn't allowed to go to the dance, you know cause I ran off the bus and ended up in the hospital and all but I really wanted to go so I snuck out my window." I explained, my voice going lower and lower as I almost whispered the last part.

" Naughty, naughty girl" he chuckled imitating a mother . I was interrupted by the bubbling of the boiling water.

I poured in the noodles and turned around expecting David to want to keep talking about it but he didn't say a word. I walked on the other side of the island and sat on the bench with him, I rested my head on his shoulder and wrapped my hand around him.

" well, I'm glad you did" he stated and gave me a kiss on the forehead.

I smiled and went to stir the noodles. He glanced down at the table looking at the tribune. He picked it up and went though it, until he landed on a page and started to read.

" What cha reading?" I questioned pretending to be one of those creepy detectives.

He chuckled " there's a big festival at this barn, would you want to go?" he grinned.

" sure, we can eat and ill let our parents know"

We finished our Mac and cheese, I grabbed David's plate and set it in the sink. I walked over the the bench and grabbed David's hand bringing outside. I let go once we exited the door.

" hey mom?" I asked tugging on her coat like a child.

" what?" She moaned.

" there's this festival at a barn and I wanted to let you know that me and David were going and can he use dads bike?"

" ya it's ok with me, how about you Rose?" she questioned now facing Rose.

" yep " I smiled and grabbed our bikes from the garage. The barn was only down the road so it wasn't far.

We arrived at the barn and we placed our bikes along the side locking them to a post.

" Ok!" I squealed happily, pulling down my short grey shirt that read ' Don't go with the flow'.

David grabbed my hand and we entered the barn. There were groups of people everywhere playing any and every game, the was apple bobbing, the ' hit the target and make the guy fall in the pool'... there was almost everything, there were lemonade stands, hot dog stands. They also had pigs, cow, horses... ext. We went to the game where you had to pop a balloon with the poky thingy. ( I was not good with this names.)

" 3 try's please" David asked the tall man at the counter in about his mid 20' s.

He guy smiled and handed him 3. David took a deep breath and through the sword thingy.

" yahhh!" I squealed super loudly.

He chuckled and took another turn. The sword hit the balloon right in the middle causing it to pop.

" 2 in a row, your on a role" I heard a familiar voice giggle.

" Oh my gosh! what are you doing here?" I asked Selena, Taylor and Ashley.

" After you left the mall we though we would come here but we knew you were busy" she teased looking at David.

" oh shut up!" he chuckled, we all knew each other well seeing as we were always together at school, so this wasn't all completely embarrassing. I looked back at David

" last shot, you better make it count, no pressure" I teased and giggled.

I turned around not paying attention to David's 3 rd shot and talked to the girls.

" so what did you guys do?" I questioned

" not much we only got here a while ago" Ashley replied.

I saw Taylor scream as she watched David. I turned to see that he got the 3 rd one too.

" wow your a pro" I giggled as he pulled me closer and kissed me, I had my hands wrapped around his neck and my leg raised off the ground, forgetting the girls were there.

" hmmm" I heard a voice say behind the counter, I pulled away

" sorry" I mumbled, my cheeks turning red, David chuckled at the thought of embarrassing me.

" what would you like" the man said pointing to the gifts.

I looked away, checking if everyone was still here.

" ouuuu " Taylor teased.

" oh my gosh , you guys can't go 2 minutes without teasing me can you?" I said getting nervous and rude.

" Wow, we're only playing " Selena said raising her hands in the air smiling.

I giggled " sorry" I apologized as they all had the ' how cute ' expressions on there faces, I turned around and saw David holding a pink bear with a bow, the bear was almost about 4 foot tall. He handed it to me.

" aww thank you" I said flattered, I sifted the bear in one hand as I hugged him with the other.

" Thanks but I can't bring this home, we rode our bikes remember ?" I asked him, hating to brake the moment.

" I can take it and drop it off at your house on my way home" Taylor butt in.

" ok, thank you can you just set it on my door step?" I questioned so happy she showed up.

" yep, here lets go put it in the car right now".

It was already about 8o clock and me and David went apple bobbing, which was hilarious to watch, I have him on tape, in the end I remember pushing his head in the tub causing him to try to dunk mine. We had such a great time, we hung out with the pigs, the chicken and laughed the entire time. David and I were walking around looking for something else to do. I loved him so much and today I couldn't be more sure of it, If I ever lossed him I just might die. All the famous quotes I read came back to mind as the music played and I held his hand ' make sure to tell the ones you love, today' and many others, and I only loved the moment even more.

" why don't you go get some jus, ill be right there" David suggested, I nodded and walked to the lemonade stand.

I grabbed a lemonade before David came to join me and grabbed one too, we sat there drinking our lemonades.

" I got a surprise for you" David said grabbing my hand and bringing me to the horse part of the barn.

I saw a beautiful carriage. My eyes lit up as David kept moving closer and closer to the carriage. He lead me in front of him letting me get on first. My smile became bigger and bigger, I could never thank him enough.
