Maria, my 'mom' has been like a true mother to me and I've always thought of her as my mom, and I guess that's why I forgot to tell you guys about her, and to top it off, I didn't really like to think about it, so I just kept it in the back of my mind.

I felt a tear stream down my face and I quickly tried to rub it off but when I looked back at the table, I saw all the eyes were on me.

" Eva, what's wrong?" Every sincrently questioned.

" Eva, are you ok?" David asked, dragging my head to face him with his finger.

" Nothing, I'm fine" I stated.

Josh glanced at his food, playing with his fork as he picked his macaroni.

We sat there in a long silence.

What could they possibly want him to do? Would he do it? What if he didn't , what would they do to him? When he said freaks, how bad where they? How was his childhood? How is he such a good guy, when he grew up with freaks who made him do bad? I had so many questions for him.

I walked out of the school with everyone by my side and Josh's number,it looked like Josh had found his way in our group. He was a really great guy but almost every question he asked was about David or to David. Weird!

Since David's birthday was tomorrow and he didn't want a big party, his mom decided to surprise him with a family party tonight. Tomorrow he was still getting a surprise, because he thinks he will be having a birthday party but to his surprise his party will be tonight and tomorrow will be the amazing concert!

" Can you text the geography homework, later?" Josh asked me.

" Sure, see you Wednesday."

" You won't be here tomorrow?" he disappointingly asked.

" No, we are having a birthday party for David." I lied since David was right by my side.

David was one of a kind, he didn't want big party's for anything and didn't rely on other or lived to have friends. He kept to himself, was independent and responsible, which was hard to find in teenage boys. I guess you would only see these perfect boys in movies or books and it seemed implausible that someone like him would ever like or even go out with me.

Josh frowned.

" That sucks, well bye" he said before waving and entering the black van.

" Don't forget that geography homework" he reminded me before closing the door, I smiled.

" Hi, I'm Eva, David's girlfriend, nice to meet you!" I joyfully stated, shaking David's sweet grandmothers hand.

I went on and met more members of his family.

" Eva, this is Scott, my uncle and this is his my aunt Sue." David introduced.

" Nice to meet you."

His aunt Sue gave me a weird look, she seemed fairly young for an aunt and let's just face it, when you picture the name Sue, you think of an old lady. She looked about 26 and had light brown hair and was wearing a really nice dress. This wasn't a big party, more like a family get together and she comes here wearing that, while I'm there wearing my casual clothes, thinking I dressed appropriately.

" How old are you sweetie?" she questioned.

" Um.. I'm 14" I mumbled.

" Oh well, now that David's 16, don't you think your a bit to young for him?" she said eyeing me.

" I never really thought about it, but I'm turning 15 in a week or two, we are almost the same age and why would it make a difference to you?" I retorted, my voice firming.

" Nothing, lets go met the rest of my family." David said grabbing my hand and pulling to some new people.

He introduced me to an entire group of people, after a couple of people, I glanced away and stopped listening to all the names coming out of his mouth.

I caught someone enter the house from the corner of my eye. I turned at the door and saw Josh walk in. What was he doing here? How did he find out? Oh gosh, what if David thinks I invited him? Were all the questions that flowed through my mind in the little time it took David to notice him.

" What's he doing here?" he mummered.

" I don't know."

" You invite him, didn't you?" he turned away.

I grabbed his arm tightly.

" No I didn't!" I yelled.

" Sure! You obviously like him better them me, lets face it, he had a rough life, every girl is all over him, he's funny, if you like him so much, why don't you just go date him right now, save us all some time, I mean you obviously couldn't go a couple of hours without seeing him, you had to invite him!" He howled.

I gasped, and couldn't bring myself to speak, how did he become like this, he would never speak to me like that, how did he not know I loved him?

I mean I loved him more then anything and how could he not know that and seriously think I would like Josh more then him!
