"Hey, Akio?" I heard Mika ask from the kitchen. "Yeah?" I asked, looking up from my sketchbook. "Why are you all alone here? I've never seen any of your family and I've practically been living here for the past week." I saw her walk out of the kitchen, into the living room, waving a piece of pocky in the air with the box in her other hand. "My sister went with my parents on some kind of stupid trip overseas, but I decided to stay behind." I answered, going back to working on my drawing. "So, why did you not want to go with them?" She asked, munching on the pocky. "Just didn't feel like it, I guess." I flipped my pencil over to the eraser side and began to clean up my sketch. "Hey, what're you working on?" Mika asked, leaning over. I quickly moved my hand to hide the sketch. "Just drawing, as if it's any of your business." I said, giving her a harsh look. "Jeez, alright. I was just curious. No need to get so defensive." She folded her arms, hanging upside down on the couch seat next to me at this point. "Hang on a second. . ." She muttered. "What now?" I asked, closing my sketchbook and setting it to the side along with my pencil. "How the hell have you known my name this entire time? I never told you what my name was." She said, glaring at me. I chuckled. "Your name is Mika Mai Adachi." I smirked and Mika drew back a bit. "And, no, you never told me that, but I know almost everyone's name at the school, so don't think you're special or anything. How else do you think I knew who Hiroki was? He's a complete lowlife loser." Mika sighed.  "Oh. Alright then." She reached over to me, holding out a piece of pocky. "Want some?" She asked, still with a slightly annoyed expression on her face. I laughed and smiled. "You're really cute, you know that?" Mika looked a bit surprised. "That's it, no pocky for you." She said, walking back into the kitchen with the box of pocky. "Hey, not cool!" I said. I heard her laugh. I stood up and walked into the kitchen to see her struggling to reach a bag of chips on the top shelf of the cupboard. I walked over and got them down for her. "I could've eventually gotten it." She muttered, folding her arms. "Yeah right, shorty." I replied with a smirk. "I'm not short, I'm average. You're just weirdly tall." She said, her cheeks a pale red. "Say what you want, but I find your shortness adorable." I smiled. Mika only glared at me. "Go away."

"Fine, I'm going." I said, slowly walking away with my hands in the air.
