Damion was lying on the couch, taking up the entire space, and Akio was sitting on the floor in front of the couch, trying to beat the boss I'd beaten the other day. "I'm telling you, being upside down on the couch helps, Akio!" I said, laughing. "I would, but this idiot won't give me a space to sit on the couch!" Akio yelled, hitting Damion in the head. "Ow! That hurt!" Damion screeched. "I can't believe you're taking up the entire couch." I heard Akio mutter. "I can't believe that chick beat you at video games." Damion replied, laughing. Akio threw his controller at Damion, hitting him right in the head. Damion held his head in pain. "My name's Mika, you moron!" I yelled at Damion. "Yeah, whatever." Damion said. I walked out of the kitchen with a huge bowl of popcorn. "Move it, Damion!" I demanded. "Uhh. . . Nope. I don't think so." He muttered, smirking. I grabbed his ear and tugged it until he sat up, allowing room for me and Akio to sit on the couch. I sat on the end and Akio sat in the middle. I grabbed the controller Akio had thrown at Damion and shut off the gaming console, turning on the movie. Akio grabbed a handful of popcorn from the bowl and threw it at Damion. "Goddammit, you immature idiots." I muttered as they took the bowl of popcorn from me, throwing popcorn at each other. Damion's hand accidentally hit the bowl and the popcorn spilled onto the floor. "Guys, come on, the movie hasn't even started yet!" I yelled, annoyed. They both started fighting, and I just sighed, sitting there and watching. "Whatever. . ." I muttered to myself, shutting off the TV, knowing neither of them were actually going to watch the movie. I got up and walked to my room, slamming the door behind me. I wasn't too upset about Damion and Akio, but I was just thinking about all of our individual situations. It was all so messed up. How often does this happen?  Three kids, still in school for god's sake, all in the same house because of messed up situations with our lives. I heard a knock on the door. "What do you want?" I yelled, leaning against the door. I heard Damion's voice through the door. "Can I come in?" I sighed, turned around and opened the door wide, allowing him in. He went straight over and sat down on the bed. "What do you want?" I asked again, folding my arms. "You seemed upset, so, because I'm a cool guy, I came in to check on you."

"Yeah, whatever. I'm sick of everyone always having to help me. I'm sick of being so weak and fragile, so just forget about it and leave me alone, okay?" I said, extremely agitated. "Hey, don't be such a bitch, alright?" He muttered. "What the hell did you call me?" I yelled, furious. "You're right. I apologize. No guy should call a girl that." He said simply. "I haven't known you that long, but you're definitely not weak from what I've seen. You're just going through really tough shit. Shit that would get to anyone. Give yourself a break."

"Yeah, sure, I guess you're right." I said, sitting down near him, but still a few inches away. He put his arm on my shoulder and I just sat in silence, trying to calm my mind. I had a bad feeling. About what? I wasn't sure. But it wouldn't leave me alone.
