It was Saturday, and Mika had woken up before me. I walked out of my room, stretching my arms. Mika was sitting on the couch, writing something in her notebook. "How long have you been up?" I asked her, sitting on the pale grey leather armchair across from her. "Since around 5:30-ish I think." She said. I checked the time. It was already 9:00. "God, you get up early." I muttered, still stretching and yawning. "Not really. Just couldn't sleep, to be honest."
"Same here. Why didn't you sleep though?" I asked. She turned to look at me. "I don't know, honestly. Just thinking I guess. What about you?"
"Uh. . . Just working on something." I said. "Really? What?"
"Nothing important. What're you writing?" I asked. "Just a plotline for one of my stories." Suddenly she looked excited and a huge smile spread across her face. "Okay, what?" I asked, slightly suspicious. "You draw, and I write. What if we made a comic together?" She asked, bouncing off of the couch and over to me. "What? No way, I'm not even that good." I said, folding my arms and narrowing my eyes. "Well, I wouldn't know, since you won't let me see any of your drawings." She said. "Please show me some of them?" She begged. "Nope." I said, turning my head away. "Please. Even just one." She pleaded further. "No."
"Please."
"No."
"Please."
"No."
"Please?"
"Fine."
"Ple- Oh okay." She said, surprised as I walked back to my room, grabbing one of my old sketchbooks. I went back into the living room and handed it to her. I watched as she started flipping through the pages. "What the hell, you call this "not that good"?" She said, looking up from the sketchbook and to me. "Actually, yes." I replied. Mika hit the side of my face with the sketchbook. "Hey, what the hell? What was that for?"
"For lying, you moron, these are awesome!" She answered, continuing to flip through the pages. "Not reall-" Mika held up the sketchbook threateningly. "Okay, fine." I said, grabbing my sketchbook out of her hands. "You're done looking at that."
"Hey! No I'm not, give it back!" She yelled, running after me as I went to put it back in my room. I put the sketchbook back where it was before and walked back out into the hall to see Mika glaring at me. "Say your art is good." She said. "Yeah, no. I let you see them, just be happy with that, alright?"
"Fine then." She said, annoyed. I put my hand lightly on her head. She slapped it. "The hell man?" I yelled defensively. "Don't touch me, I'm annoyed with you." I just sat there and blinked. "Okay, bye." I said, starting to walk away. "Wait, where are you going?" She asked. "I have to hide the body real quick. See ya." I said, waving my hand in the air casually. "What?!" She yelled. A smile spread across my face and I left the house.
