I had heard about Leo getting in trouble with the police, but I had also heard that they just sent him back and he was talking to our head master. So I had resolved to go and wait outside the office and hope Leo comes out so I can talk to him. It was my fault that Chris had done what he did to Leo. Sure I knew nothing about it but I probably could have stopped it if I had just... Just what? Asked the voice. Just stopped being so afraid of heartbreak for once. He won't hurt you, you know that, and maybe you might have been drunk and Leo might have been drunk but that does not mean that it wasn't real. Leo loves you. I know you love him too, so why don't you stop trying to be a Martyr and do what your heart wants. The voice in my head that had kept me company for so long while I was on Ogygia, was becoming very agitating. Go away. I used my minds voice to sound as hostile as possible and the voice did not say anything else. I was alone for the time being. I would have to admit it sooner or later, I was in love with Leo Valdez.

I had not been talking to him much but I could tell that he was acting different. He seemed so much more angry, and I could feel the almost tangible sorrow whenever I was around him. I could not wait for his friends to get to school, those were the people he truly cared about. He might have believed that I was the love of his life, but I still was not one of the seven. They had a special bond, they were the saviors of the world. Those seven teenagers defeated the goddess of the Earth. I would never have that much bravery. Leo did, he took part in saving the world, saw unimaginable horrors but is still able to crack jokes with his friends. All I- My train of thought crashed when the door clicked open. Leo saw me and smiled but the smile never reached his eyes.

“You better behave Valdez. They will be here, later today.” Dr. Hensley called from inside the office.

“Who will be here later?” I asked worriedly, in fear that it would be the police or the foster care system.

“My friends.” Leo said, and this time the smile did make its way to his eyes. I noted that he said 'My', the whole summer he tried to convince me that they were 'Our' friends. It hurt that he did not consider me part of the group anymore. He started to walk away so I followed him, we walked all the way to his dorm without a word. When we got there Leo walked past Chris without a word and walked into his half of the room. I continued to follow him and shut the door behind me. The small space was in disarray, there were tools and wires all over the place and a giant dragon head took up most the space. He sat down at a small desk and started picking at some wires.

“You're friends are going to be here later, maybe you should clean up a little. I'll help?” I offered and he stopped touching the wires his foot was tapping a rhythm on the floor.

“Why?” He said turning to look at me.

“Because your friends will be her-”

“No Calypso, why do you pretend to care?”

“W-what do you mean?”

“You're not stupid, you know that I really like you, and” I could see his chocolate eyes getting hazy. “I guess I just don't understand you at all.” He looked down and wiped his eyes. I couldn't think of anything to say. I remembered last night 'I dare you to kiss whichever girl here you think is the most beautiful.' I had really thought he moved on, that him and Kailee had a thing. I was sure that he would kiss her. I had pushed him away from me, and gone to the bathroom to cry. All I wanted was another kiss from him, but I could not let that happen, not in front of all those people, all those witnesses. So I did it, there in Leo's room. I grabbed his shoulder and let my lips touch his, but he pushed me away this time. “Please leave.” He said monotonously, and as I stepped out of the room I watched his whole body be engulfed in flames.

“Wanna hang out?” Chris asked biting his bottom lip and and raising his eyebrows.

“Not now.” I have half stumbled half walked back to my room and laid on my bed. Now you've done it. The voice mocked. That's when I let the tears fall freely. They rolled down my temples and pooled in my ears. I could not think of anything more painful than what I was feeling right then. The pain was far worse then any other heartbreak I had experienced on Ogygia. I laid there until I fell asleep. I woke to a gentle knock on the door. I answered it and Leo stood there, he was wearing a different clothes, I assumed it was because he burnt the other ones.

“Hey.” he said awkwardly, and uncomfortably scratched the back of his neck. “Everyone just got here, I was wondering if you wanted to go meet them with me.”

“I would love too.” I said and smiled back. “Look, Leo I am very so-”

“Say no more, sunshine. It's perfectly fine. It didn't happen. It's impossible to stay mad at you.” He smiled, and the pain I had felt melted away in an instant. Leo pushed me playfully. I shoved him back hard enough for him to stumble away. “ Oh you're going to pay for that, Princess.” He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder.

“Put me down!” I shouted laughing. “I am wearing a dress, Valdez!”

“Ugh, fine I'll put you down.” He laughed as he set me down. “Besides we have to go down the stairs.” We giggled and Leo told jokes as we raced down the stairs. We hit the ground and sprinted towards the parking lot. When we got within earshot Leo shouted.

“You better catch me Jason Grace!” Leo ran and leaped at Jason, who caught him right before he fell. “It's good to see your reflexes are still on point.” He let himself fall out of Jason's arms and onto the ground. He went around and gave everyone a hug except Nico who threatened him with a knife.

“Hi everyone.” I said just above a whisper. Piper smiled at me and shook her head.

“Okay everyone, c'mon group hug Calypso.” They all wrapped me in a hug except for Nico who scoffed and rolled his eyes. “Get in here Nico.” Annabeth demanded.

“No.” Then Percy grabbed his arm and pulled him into the center of the hug. “Okay this is over, and anyone who objects gets their nose cut off.” The ghost king threatened. The hug dispersed and we all started talking. Piper pulled Leo aside and they whispered together. It was a grand reunion until Dr. Hensley walked up to us.

“Hello! You must all be the new students. I'm Dr. Hensley, You are all juniors correct?” They all nodded except for Nico. “And you're our freshman.” Nico gave Dr. Hensley the death stare, and I am sure if he tried hard enough it could literally put someone to death. He began to explain dinner and sports. He handed each of them a folder and finished. “Welcome to Conrad Prep!”

Okay this was short but I updated very fast. Also think th emotions in this chapter change to much so it's sort of blah. Whatever. Just vote and comment! Thanks
