V's Pov

I walk out from my room and got greeted by the maids and butlers. I just smile and nod my head as a reply..

My hair was a mess and i'm still wearing my pajama since we have no classes for today..
I shuffled my feet to the kitchen and grab a glass of water.

My Hyungs and Jungkookie are not here? So strange.
All of them were supposed to be here, messing my mansion with their loud voices.

"Hyungs... Can you hear me?"

I said using telepathy but no one response, are they so busy that they didn't even hear me?!

My eyes widen and i drop the glass in my hand. I shut my eyes close and breathe heavily as i endure the pain in my chest.

"Lord Taehyung! Are you okay?" A maid ask me and i shook my head, gripping my chest.

"Just... Leave." I breathe.

"But—"

"I said LEAVE!" I shouted and run back to my room.
As i shut the door close, i lean my back on it.

I can't hold this... anymore.
I usually feed myself b-but...

Piper...

Piper.. It's Piper. Someone was hurting her! Sh*t.

I struggled just to changed my clothes and quickly dashed out from my room. I closed my eyes and breathe calmly.

I can hear some faded voices of—

"Taehyung?" A voice said and once i open my eyes, i was laying down on a carpet.

I got up and saw Jungkookie with the others, eating pizza.
"H-hyung..." I spat as the burning sensation in my chest wrecks me again.

"Taehyung, are you okay?" Jhope ask me as they approached me.
"Where is Piper?" I ask as i stood up, roaming my eyes around.
"Piper was in kitchen with.... Suga and Jiminie hyung." Jungkook said and the next thing i knew.

Piper was running upstairs as she entered her room and shut the door close.

Suga hyung appeared and my fist meets his face.
"You just hurt my mate, Hyung" I said and Suga hyung just let out a sigh before passing by me.

"I loss my control. Mianhae.." He replied and i just rolled my eyes.
"You know that there's a bond between us, we can feel each others pain.." I said and Suga nodded. Aish!

"Piper is your mate, you already claim her as yours based on the mark." Suga said and silence crossed over.

"What are y'all doing here?" I said trying to broke the silence.
"Did you forget? You told us to watch Piper since her mom was out of town.." Namjoon said.

"Of course, i do remember that but i mean, what's with those bags?" I said..
"We're staying here for five months.." Jin said as he shove the pizza in his mouth.

"What!!! Here? In my mates house?! No– That's a NO!" I said and all of them giggled.
"What are y'all laughing at?!" I said as i narrowed my eyes at them.

"You and Piper have the same expression when we told that were going to staying here.." Jiminie said and i rolled my eyes.

"Yes, i told you guys to watch over my mate for her protection from the Soldier of  Skies same goes as Baekhyun but... that doesn't mean that all of you are going to stay here for five damn months!!" I said and all of them stare at me.

"You're just jealous, Tae." Jhope hyung said and my eyes widen. Me?
"Me? Tsk. N-no! Why would i be jealous." I said but he just shrugged his shoulders.

"Taehyung, i know that there's still a black mark on your soul, the holes in your heart but let Piper erase those marks and cover those holes. Don't shut your heart close just because you... we are like this. We're still a somewhat kind of human. We feel the sane pain and joy like humans. Don't drown yourself in the dept of sadness.." Namjoon hyung said and i looked away.

I want Piper as much as she wants me but.. it's not that so easy. She's a human and i'm the Son of Hades, a demon.
There's a wall between us but somehow, our bond stay strong. The question is... How long?

"She's a human. I'm a demon. We can't be together but i claim her just because of my needs. If you guys were in my shoes, you'll be doing the same thing." I reply and they just shook their heads.
"So, you just claim her because of your needs? Because her blood can take away the pain in your chest?" Jungkookie said in a plain tone.

"Yes." I said gulping down the uneasiness feeling in my throat. Don't let those emotion come and take over you, Taehyung..

"You didn't love her?" Jiminie said and i licked my lips.

"No, i didn't love that human." I reply and all of them looked away, letting out a big and deep sigh.

"So, you're just using her?" Jin hyung ask and i gritted my teeth in annoyance.
"I'm not using her.." I said in a firm tone as i stare down on him.

"But that's what actually you're doing. You didn't love her but you claim her as yours. You just need her blood. That's so selfish! So, what do you call that? Friends with Benefits? Oh! My bad. You guys were not friends.." Jin hyung said and i clenched my hands in fist.

"Think of it, Taehyung.. Piper might run away from you if ever you'll hurt her. She'll hate you for sure." Jin hyung said before picking up the boxes of pizza and leaving the living room.

I don't care.
As far as i have Piper. She's mine. Only mine..
