A puzzled look was on Alexanders face after he and John had left the small dinner. When Alex had handed the waitress back the bill, John went silent, just nodding as Alexander spoke. John walked, his face downcast, glaring at his feet as he walked to the car. He crawled into the driver seat, turning on the engine, quickly. He cranked the music up, to volumes louder than usual, as Alex opened the door to the passenger seat and got in. Alex, not getting the hint, continued to try to talk over the music. John kept his eyes on the road, faintly listening to Alex's attempts of conversation. John wondered why he was even frustrated with him. He liked a girl, thought she was cute, so? Was it the fact that he didn't even know this girl? And the fact this likely towards this girl was just based on her looks? That must have been it. There was no way he was growing a crush on Alexander, his best friend, it wasn't possible. Even with being gay, John refused to think that as a possibility.

Finally Alexander gave up with speaking. The rest of the car ride, that sat silently. Pulling into a parking space they headed back up into their dorm. A few small words were spoken between each other. Alex muttering about how it was John's night to make desserts, and John calling dibs on the restroom.

John rushed into the bathroom, leaving Alexander alone to shut the door and collapse onto his own bed. John breathed, sitting on the edge of the bathtub. He ran his fingers through his hair, trying to relax, and calm his breathing. He did his best to focus. He thought back to the morning, to the night before. The night before was rather fuzzy, but he rendered stumbling and crawling into Alexanders bed, on purpose, and curling up to him, on purpose. He remembered how it felt waking next to Alexander. He remembered how he blushed. He remembered how Alex held back his hair, though it was only hours ago. John pulled at his hair, he knew. He knew in that moment by just recalling those past few hours, he knew that he had feelings for Alexander. As much as he wanted to ignore it, to suppress it, to try to throw it away under getting drunk and high, he knew he couldn't.

"John?" Alex voice spoke, as he knocked on the bathroom door. John sat silently not knowing what to say. "John you've been in there about twenty minutes you alright?"

John cleared his throat, "oh, yeah, I was just caught in thought. I'll be out in a moment," he sighed standing up.

"Alright, take your time," Alexanders voice trailed off as he walked away from the door.

John cleaned up, looking at his puffy eyes he splashed water in his face and smiled. Maybe he could have romantic feelings for his friend, but for now, it's just a maybe, so why worry. He walked out of the bathroom humming quietly to himself deciding he'd make brownies for the nighttime. He grabbed his phone and earbuds and wandered into the kitchen, looking for brownie mix, a bowl, and a pan. He poured in the mixtures beginning to start the process of making the nights desert.
