The clock continued to tick, as seconds, that turned into minutes, that turned into hours passed and Alex got more and more concerned with each tick. His tongue pressed between his two rows of teeth, trying to feel anything other than a worry for the boy who walked out. Alexander tapped his pencil against the page, for once not knowing what to write. Finally he what decided he'd write, he'd write about John, and how worried he was about the boy. His eyes grew heavy as he continued to scratch into the page with the graphite pencil. He was focused, his breath was the only noise in the entire dorm, that and the occasional movement of Alexander trying to get comfortable. He bit his lip looking at the third full page of writing about John, this was not the first, nor the last time he'd write about John, John was his best friend, his roommate, of course he'd write about him. It helped ease Alex planning out scenarios of John coming back home maybe wandering back into his bed on accident again. He pushed his glasses back up into the bridge of his nose and dove back into his work.
Thomas and John were having the night of their lives, the food was good, the drinks were great, the weed was even greater. The boys laughed passing a solo cup back and forth, talking about their experiences with their roommates.
"Okay so one time," Thomas giggled, "James was showing me the Big Dipper and the Little Dipper, and I was slightly drunk and well I was just like, I'll be the Big Dipper to your Little Dipper, pulled down my pants and then passed out on the ground," Thomas laughed drinking from the cup, refilling it, then passing it to John.
"You did not," John laughed.
"Oh but I did, and James did not let it go for like three weeks," Thomas spoke.
"Are you guys, dating?" John asked. Thomas was just about as gay as John was, they were the queers of the parties, but they were fine with that, a lot of people at their college seemed to be a part of the LGBT community or a supporter, it was unusual to find a homophobe.
"No, not yet at least," Thomas paused, "But I'd like to ask him on a date."
"You should totally go for it! What would you ship name be? Thames? Mafferson? Jeffmads? Jeffmads! It would totally be Jeffmads," John spoke sipping from the red solo cup.
"You're a child Laurens, I hope you know," Thomas smiled.
"Fully aware," He giggled, "but Tom? How do you have the courage to flirt with James?"
"A drink or two and I'm usually good to go, why-- wait, do you really like Hamilton that much?" Jefferson shouted.
"Quiet down!" John hushed, "But, yes," he grabbed the back of his neck in embarrassment, "I do."
"Hold on let me tease you for a second like you do me," he paused clearing his throat, "oh my gOD! What would you ship name be?" He spoke mimicking John, "Hamlaurens? Jalex? Haurens? Lams! I like that one," Jefferson clear his throat once again talking normal, "Now, serious talk, you don't need a drink to flirt, John. Just compliment him, tell him the thinks you like about him, tell him how good he looks today. Make him flustered, don't start off to straight forwards, kind of play with your words."
"Alright, that doesn't sound to hard," John said passing the cup to Thomas.
"You Think you might wanna give it a shot, John?"
