Chapter 4

Alex's POV:

On the way back to the Curtis' house, Soda decided to have a race between him, Steve, And I.

"I win!!" Soda yells jumping on the porch. After him was Steve, and then me.  "Whatever, My shoe came untied." Steve whined as we looked down to see both of his shoes tied. "Uhuh, you just don't want to admit that I beat you!" Soda jokes.
"No fair, y'all both have longer legs than me and I don't usually run!" I pant leaning over with my hands on my knees. "What's that smell?" I ask.

"Smells like Dar's making cake!" Soda yelled while running into the house. "Soda wait!" I yelled as me and Steve ran in after him.
"Hey no running in the house!" Darry yelled as we rushed into the kitchen. "Sorry." We all said in syncs looking down like little kids causing Ponyboy burst out laughing.

"Where'd you come from?" I asked him. "I was reading in the living room and when y'all ran by I followed you in here." "Oh." I say felling dumb, this is his house after all.

"So did you get the car fixed?" Pony asked looking at Soda. "Nah, had to finish up a soc's car from yesterday, I'll get to work on it tomorrow tho."
"Cool, I guess I can stay in the living room one more night." Pony joke right before a beat up Johnny ran into the room.

Johnny's POV:

"You think we gave up the other night grease?! You think we forgot about you stealing our women? Well think again buddy boy." That's the last thing I heard before I felt a sharp pain in my head.

I woke up in the lot, I hurt everywhere. What happened? All I remember is that I was sitting on the old couch in the lot because my mom kicked me out of the house for doing nothing.

I got up and notice that I'm bleeding really bad. I guess I should go to Pony's so Darry can fix me up. I run into the house to see Him, Soda, Steve, Darry, and Alex standing around laughing before they look at me.

"Johnny what happened?!" I heard her say before I blacked out, she has a pretty voice, why does she care about what happened to me?

Alex's POV:

Johnny fainted. He just fainted after running in. Of course I had to be the person closest to him so he fell into me.

"Soda, put the kid on the couch, I'll go get the first aid kit." Darry walked into the hallway while Soda picked up Johnny and put him on the couch.

"Do you think he's going to be ok?" I look at Ponyboy. "Johnny's strong. He don't look like it, but he is. This is worse than the last time he got jumped alone. But I think he'll make it." Pony stuttered a little at the end and ran up to his room.

This is all my fault. I changed the movie. I wonder how Dally is? I have to get the car fixed and go home before I change anything else!
