(Not a Heathers animatic, but Waitress is an awesome musical as well. I wanna say thx again for all of yalls support, it really does mean a lot to me)

It's finally 3:30. The final bell rings, signaling that the day is over. I pack up all the supplies I had out, putting them neatly in my backpack, Tetris-style. I sling it over my shoulder, adjust my shirt, and head over to the door.

I slowly crack it open and look around. I've been hiding out in the old Home Ec. room. Without Heather around, I hide away from everyone. It hurts more when I'm alone.

I scan up and down the hall -- the coast is clear. I step out of the room and quickly walk to the side door at the end of the hall. I peak out, and the way is clear once again. I step outside into a warm breeze. Taking my headphones out of my pocket, I open the music app on my phone. I plug the headphones in, and hit 'shuffle.' Radioactive by Imagine Dragons begins playing, and I smile. One of my favorite songs.

I walk around the front of the school where there were still a few students meandering around, waiting for their ride to pull up. Most people are on the other side of the school, loading onto the bus. One of the stone benches is empty, so I sit down on it. Putting my backpack into my lap, I listen to the distant droning of school buses driving away. The sun is beating down on me, and I'm starting to get worried about Heather. My phone says that its 3:52 now; Radioactive ended a while ago, and now 'Riptide' by Vance Joy fills my earbuds. Heather's never this late leaving school. She usually is out here before the bell rings because she wants to go home so bad. I shift uncomfortably, starting to get worried about her.

Waiting is painful. I watch the clock change on my phone. 4:00. 4:01. 4:02. I can barely stand it anymore. The door creaks open behind me and Mrs Flemming walks out. Not being able to stand it any longer, I run up to her. "Mrs Flemming, do you know where Heather is?"

"Oh, I let her leave at the bell. Why?" She responds, not even slowing down.

I walk beside her to keep up, "I can't find her. Do you know where she might be?"

She unlocks her car and tosses some stuff in the passenger seat. "I think I saw her with some of her friends by my classroom."

"Thanks!" I say, running back inside and toward Mrs Flemming's class. I turn down the hall where her class is located and am met with a gruesome sight.

Heather - my Heather - is standing with her back to the wall with a bloody nose. Duke, Kurt, and Ram are surrounding her. McNamara is sitting by the entrance of the hall, where I am. She stand up and talks to me.

"Careful, Veronica. I already tried to stop them, but they're totally crazy right now." She says, folding her arms. I notice a faint pink handprint on her cheek.

I walk past her. "Thanks, but I'm not going to let them hurt her."

I walk up to the circle. Heather makes eye contact, but quickly looks back to her attackers. They haven't noticed me yet.

I need a plan. Ok, think, Veronica. Weaknesses. Ram's sensitive right now, Duke's shorter than me, Kurt's... an idiot. I don't know if that's enough, but it has to be.

I sneak up behind Ram, who's on the left. I kick him for the third time today in his baby makers, and he falls to the ground, screaming in pain. Kurt, who was next to him, turns to me. His face turns sour and my heart beat picks up speed, but before I know it, Heather's kick him in the same place as Ram. He falls to the ground. I turn to take on Duke, but she's not where I remember her being.

"Veronica!" I hear from behind me. I turn to see Duke just before she brought a metal folding chair down on my head.

I hit the ground hard. Everything is blurry and moving around. Surprisingly, my head didn't hurt, per say. It felt like I had a headache, not like I had just gotten beat down with a slab of metal.

I quickly stand back up again, which probably wasn't the smartest idea. I'm still extremely dizzy, swaying side to side on my feet. Darkness is eating away at the edges of my vision, but I fight it off. I can't quite see; its like my eyes can't focus right. There's a really obnoxious ringing in my ears and I can barely hear anything over it.

I find myself leaning on the wall, not being able to process everything happening around me. I see Chandler and Duke fist fighting to my left, and Kurt getting up off the ground to my right. He gets to his feet, locks eyes with me, and makes his way in my direction.

"Heather," I choke out, but it must be too quiet for her to hear. I see her still fighting Duke.

Kurt waddles over to me. "You bitch!" He shouts, pinning my arms to my sides by my elbows. He brings his head down on to mine, and I cry out in pain. It feels like my brain is throbbing. I look up at Kurt, and see blood on his forehead. However, it doesn't look like he's actually bleeding. I touch my forehead, and it's soaked. Blood is running down my face. My knees buckle, but Kurt catches me by the arm, which he holds above my head.

"Veronica!" I hear again. I tilt my head towards it. Heather is standing over Duke, who is collapsed on the floor. She begins running towards me.

Kurt bends my arm behind me. "'Nother step and I'll snap her arm in half." Kurt's basically holding me up at this point by my twisted arm. I don't feel anything anymore. My head is hanging down to my chest and I watch as my own blood drips into a puddle at my feet.

"C'mon Kurt, let her go. She had nothing to do with it. I'm sorry about what I did before." Heather's pleading voice echoes off the walls, or maybe it's only echoing in my ears?

"You will be." Kurt says, and shifts his weight. I wait for the snap, but I hear more of a clang. I fall to the ground and look up. McNamara hit him in the head with the chair. I sigh with relief as the darkness takes over my vison.

That was a bit excessive for a high school fight.
