Chapter 18- The Ball

Adrian's P.O.V

The ball's tonight. We didn't have class today because of it, that's a bonus. I'm at the dorms because the girls wanted to get ready and my place so they could use the straighteners and full length mirrors, then when they are ready we have to drive there and pick them up and bring them back here, personally I think they just want the whole experience.

I get into my tuxedo, which is a black tux but with a bow tie because bow ties are cool. Ben's tux is black too but he has just a normal tie which is actually a Ravenclaw tie from his Harry Potter tie collection. We got ready quite quick after Ben's tie problem, so we decided to go out and pick up the corsages early. We get in the truck, which I had rented for a week, and drove into the city. We walk around and picked up the corsages. Cara's corsage was a light pink rose, and Maysie's was a black rose. They really were such opposites.

We walk around and see a tuxedo shop. We go in to look around for anything to make out tux's look better. I see the cuff links, so I walk over. I see some funny ones like, one cuff link says 'Father Of The Bride' and then the other says 'I Loved Her First'. Ben picks his first, they are a pair of xbox controllers, of course, but mine are a pair of the Legend of Zelda sign so I can't say much.

We walk out to the truck and get in. We put on our new cuff links and check the time. 4:16pm. 4 hours till the ball starts.

"What to go see an action movie?" Ben asks.

"Sure, but are these really suitable?" I ask putting at my suit.

"Yes, of course they are SUITable," Ben said putting an emphasis on suit.

"Good pun," I say turning on the truck.

"Thank you," He says. We drive to the cinema and get our tickets for the movie. We watch it and it is really good. We walk out and I have to missed calls from Maysie and three text messages.

Adrian can you bring my dress over, sorry, im so stupid, who forgets there dress -Maysie

Adrian i need my dress, where are you -Maysie

ADRIAN MY DRESS!!!!!! -Maysie

"Oh god," I said to myself.

"What?" Ben asked.

"Maysie left her dress at the dorm and has been trying to contact me for the last 3 hours we were in the film," I replied.

"Oh shit," Ben said, "Dude, call her."

"Ok, meet you in the truck," I say pulling out my phone as I walk outside to get away from the noise. I rings 3 times before someone picks up.

"Adrian, where are you?" It's Cara.

"I'm at the cinema," I reply.

"Are you telling me that you have been watching a movie the whole time Maysie and I have been panicking!" Cara shouted.

"Maybe," I said, I was treading on some thin ice right now.

"Adrian, your girlfriend is here crying her eyes out because she doesn't have her dress, now I want you to go get the dress and come here and return it to her while I fix her up, and then you are going to have to wait until we are done and while you want, you will be hearing from Phil," Cara said stubbornly.

"Yes, ma'am," I said awkwardly.

"Why aren't you already driving, hurry up!" She shouted hanging up. I run to the car where Ben is ready to go. I drive as fast as legally allowed to the dorms. Ben and I get out and run to his room. He unlocks the door and we run around looking for the dress. I find what I think is her dress, she didn't want me to look at it, so I got Ben to, and he said it looked like a ball dress. So we ran back to the truck and got in. We drove to the apartment in less then 5 minutes. We ran up the stairs and I unlocked the door.
