A/N; So hey guys... woo so ages since I updated! Sorry about that but so much has been going on, so the story took a back seat! But here it is, enjoy :)
“Bright and early!” I laughed, hanging up the phone. Finally – Dad was coming home! Bright and early the next morning. Harley, Paige and Chase sat around the dining table,
“What time are they arriving?” Paige asked, anxious for their coach to discover she had come to New Zealand.
“Just bright and early,” I laughed, “No exact time.”
“Aaaaarg,” She slammed her head on the table in front of her, “Can we go for a ride Maggie?”
“Yes, yes we can,” I threw my arms around Chase’s neck, resting my chin on the top of his head, “Want to come?”
“Where are we going to go?” Harley asked.
“How about you just go and load the horses up and Paige and I will work that out?” I kissed the top of Chase’s head, and then moved around to behind Paige’s chair.
“Bags not getting Buckley!” Harley yelled running out the door, Chase ran after him yelling protests.
“Buckley is not that bad,” I yelled after them, “I bet we go out and Buckley and Tosca will greet us at the door.”
“Probably. Males are hopeless.” Paige laughed.
“Are they what?” I laughed, “Okay, bikini’s, food, towels.”
“ARE WE GOING TO THE BEACH?” Paige screamed at me, jumping up from her seat and running down the hall.
“I’ll just… Sort out the food then?” I laughed, grabbing as much as I could out of the pantry and fridge, shoving shaved ham, buns, tomatoes, sauce, chips, everything into a backpack that doubled as a chilly bin.
“I got mine and Harley’s stuff!” Paige came screaming down the hall way, with her arms full of towels and togs, “Oh, and towels!”
“Okay, hold on I will grab some bags and my stuff,” Laughing some more, I pulled some bags down from the top of my wardrobe. Stuffing my bikini and some of Chase’s board shorts into one bag as I walked down the hall, I grinned, “It’s been ages since I went to the beach!”
“I haven’t been yet! Come on, come on!” She shoved her arm load of items into the spare bag, grabbed all of the bags and ran out the door, “I AM SO EXCITED!”
“Oh my god Paige, calm down!” I put my hat on my head as I walked out the door. Just in time to see Harley and Chase trying, and failing, to load Buckley. I whistled loudly, he perked up, throwing himself of the trailer ramp backwards. Harley and Chase dropped their hold on him, letting him bowl over the yard to me and Paige, “What’s up pretty boy!”
“I am a girl Maggie. I hoped you would have known that.” Paige said flatly.
“Oh ha ha. You are soooo funny.” I replied, equally as flat. I grabbed Buckley’s lead rope, pulling myself up on to his back, “Come here.”
“Are you sure? I’m pretty sure you are the only one who can ride that horse.” Paige said warily.
“Mish meh, he will be fine!” I laughed, “Don’t believe everything Harley says!”
“Okay! This is my life here!” She laughed, passing me the bag with the picnic in it, throwing the other bags over her shoulder.
“Just hop on, he will be sweet as!” I sighed.
“Fiiiiine.” She climbed on behind me, “We should be a couple, you know that?”
“Oh my gosh! Totally! We would make the best couple ever!” I laughed as we neared the boys, “Take this, bitch.” I shoved the picnic bag in Harley’s face.
