A year and a bit later
"Bartholomew Henry Allen! I swear if we are late to dinner with my parents I will kill you"
Barry came out of there bedroom struggling with his tie "there's my beautiful girlfriend who I love so much" he said sarcastically.
Caitlin rolled her eyes and slapped his hands away from the tie so she could take over.
"You need to calm down love it's just your parents" barry said stroking her hair.
Caitlin finished his tie and ran her fingers through her hair "I cant calm down barry" she snapped.
Barry kissed her forehead and caitlin sighed in contentment he rubbed her arms soothingly.
"I know you care alot about what your parents think of course you do they're your parents but you need to breath your no help to anyone if your stressing out over nothing"
Caitlin nodded and hugged him "you know I love you right?"
"Of course. And I love you now let's go we don't want to be late for dinner do we?"

Dinner passed in mostly silance untill caitlin went to the bathroom "so I was wondering if I could marry your daughter" barry blurted.
Carla dropped her fork and Drew choked on his wine barry smiled trying to hide his amusement.
"So you want to marry my little girl" drew said shifting slightly
Barry nodded "y-yes I love her more then anything and I think we should take the next step in our relationship"
Drew nodded slowly then looked at his wife having a silant convostation with her "well barry I think I speak for both me and Carla when I say I think it's to soon you've only been together a few months"
"We've been together for 16 months"
"Oh well thay changes things we didn't know you'd been together for so long"

"We know you love our daughter barry so you have our blessing"
Barry's eyes widened "are you serious?!"
"Serious about what?" Caitlin asked
sitting back down next to barry."Abouuuuuttttt" barry tried to think of an exscuse and looked at drew for help "about...ummm going...fishing next week"
Caitlin looked at barry in disbelief "you hate fishing"
Barry just shrugged and turned back to his desert.
When they'd finished barry suggested that they go for a walk.
"I told you it wasn't going to be awful" barry said swaying there joint hands. Caitlin shrugged and rested her head against his shoulder.
"Its really beautiful out here" caitlin mumbled.
Barry nodded in agreement caitlin shivered so barry took of his jacket and offered it to her she accepted it and slipped her arms through the sleeves.
She froze when she put her hands in the pockets.
"Barry" she whispered pulling out the ring box.
"That-thats not mine I don't know how that got in there" barry stuttered.
"Were you going to propose?" Caitlin asked still staring at the ring box.
Barry swolled before nodding "yeah I had it all planned out I was going to take you to where we first met then I was going to get down on one knee I even asked your parents I had a speach planned and everything but trust me to mess it all up"
Caitlin shook her head in amusement then passed him the ring box "ask me"
Barry smiled and got down on one knee and opened the ring box "caitlin Elizabeth Snow I've loved you since we met and..."
"Yes" Caitlin laughed
"You didn't let me fish my speach"
