Caitlin bounced Cassie on her lap as she instructed Barry on how to take down the meta.
The baby dropped her teething ring and started crying unexpectedly Caitlin tried to sooth her "I'll get it in a minuet sweetie as soon as we get daddy out of this burning building"
"What's wrong with her?" Barry asked over the coms after speeding someone out of the building.
"She dropped her teething ring" Caitlin said sounding exhausted
"Have you tried the Bonjela?"
"I told you she doesn't like the bonjela she doesn't like people putting there fingers in her mouth"
"Then put it on her dummy then out the dummy in her mouth" Barry replied
"Well I can't right now and I thought we agreed we were taking her of the dummy"
"I know but-"
"Mr.Allen, Mrs.Allen I think we need to focus on the burning building other then your daughters gums" doctor wells said.
"Right sorry" Barry muttered "I'll be back soon I just have one person left to save"
A few moments later Barry wizzed in and reached hid arms out for his daughter but caitlin held scowled at him.
"Barry we talked about this, please stop using superspeed around Cassie it confues her and take you mask off it freaks her out" she sighed
Sensing something was wrong Barry frowned and took of his mask "you okay?"
"Fine" she replied quickly and handed him Cassie before she bent down to get the teething ring.
"I'll go wash this and get the other one out the fridge" she yawned "then we should probably go home, mummy needs a 24 hour nap"
She stood up trying to ignore the dull ache in her skull.
"No its fine I can go and-"
"No no I can do it just watch Cassie" she brushed him off
"Actually I need to have a word with Mr. Allen so if you can take your child with you that would be a great help" doctor wells cut in.
Caitlin wanted to snap at him but she didn't she bit her toung and nodded before taking the screaming baby from Barry's arms.
"Come on sweetie it's okay, mummy is going to make it all better" she said softly.
Barry watched her leave and sighed.
Caitlin didn't bother to wait for Barry after she switched the teething rings over instead she text him saying she was going home before getting in the car.
She stoped at the supermarket on her way home and bought a few things including bonjela.
Her phone started ringing while she was trying to wrestle Cassie into her car seat.
"Hey"
"I'm at home where are you?"
"I just stoped at the supermarket to get some more formula and nappies and other stuff"
"Okay I was just worried that's all"
"Sorry, we'll be home soon"
"Drive safe"
She missed the days when they'd end phone calls with 'I love you'
"I will"
