Chapter 1: The Order

Hi Mina! I had an idea that I found interesting for a Kakashi love story so here it is!

Chapter 1: The order

Claire POV

"Welcome back, you've grown to become a fine Kunoichi, Claire." The hokage greeted whilst breathing out a puff from his pipe and smiling genuinely.

"Thank you, Sir Hokage, and you don't look a day older." I greeted back, bowing my head in respect while he chuckled.

"Now now, there's no need to flatter me..."

"Forgive me my attempt at comedy..."

He laughed softly. "So how have you been these past few years?" he asked.

"Busy..."

"I can imagine..." he mumbled.

"I am an ANBU, after all."

"Indeed you are..."

"So, you called me back for a mission, correct?"

"Ah, yes...eager are we?"

I shrugged.

"Unlike an ordinary ninja mission, this one will be more personal...think you can handle it?"

"I will try my best, sir..."

"Alright then, do you remember your old friend Kakashi Hatake?"

I widened my eyes in recognition at that name.

"The one with the gravity defying silver hair?"

"Yes, that one...so you remember him?"

I nodded and I let a small smile play across my mask covered face.

"Good, now...You're mission, if you chose to accept it, is to ease the pain in his heart by becoming the one closest to him. Do you think you can succeed?"

I hesitated a moment before nodding.

"Good. The reason for this mission, is because he's lost so much that the darkness and pain in his heart has become very deep...he's lost both his teammates and his Sensei, the fourth Hokage. He seems...broken. He's become practically anti-social. If you succeed in this mission, I will be very grateful. This mission will also give you a break from all you're years of travelling and give you time to settle down. It would also be nice if you developed feelings for each other but I will stop at what I said before." He finished while handing me the keys to my apartment and telling me to meet him in front of a book store the next day.

"Thank you sir Hokage, I will do my best to succeed this mission." I bowed my head in respect once again before walking out of his office and starting to make my way towards my new apartment.

Kakashi POV

"A new member?" I asked in surprise.

"Yes, you heard me correctly, Kakashi...and the two of you will have you're first mission together tomorrow morning."

"Alright..." I mumbled, though I wasn't really in the mood to meet anyone.

"Who is it?"

"You'll find out, meet her in front of you're favorite bookstore tomorrow." he tells me, now smirking.

I widen my eyes in surprise and blush a bit under my mask.

"Her?"

"Yes...she's a woman."

I laughed nervously and scratched the back of my head, wondering if she was pretty and beginning to day dream about what she could look like.

"Kakashi?"

I snapped back to reality.

"Yes?"

"You're free to leave..."

"Thank you, Lord Hokage..." I mumbled under my breath, bowing my head in respect and making my way out the door.

"Oh, and one more thing"

"Hmm?"

"She's quite pretty..." He said with the sole purpose of teasing me.

I paused for a moment and hesitate to reply.

"Right, Lord Hokage..." I mumbled before walking out the door, leaving the Hokage there with a perverted smirk.

Claire POV

I arrived at my apartment, began to settle in and started unpacking my bags. Putting things away in my bedroom and bathroom then going into the kitchen and making myself some rice balls for supper. After finishing the food, I washed the plate in the sink and then I went to grab my Make Out Paradise book. That's right, I read 'Make Out Paradise', I am... Secretly a pervert... Deal with it.

I read until I finished the book the I looked up to see the sun rising.

'Damn...I was reading for that long?' I asked myself, grumbling and climbing into bed, setting my alarm before falling into a dreamless sleep.

Third person POV

They both slept restlessly, eager to meet one another as the moonlight shone over the village of Konoha. Claire wondered if Kakashi would remember her, and Kakashi wondered who his new teammate would be and if they would get along. Little did they know how deeply in love they were yet to fall, and how they would fill the emptiness in each other's hearts with an emotion called joy.
