“Come on, Stiles. You can do better than that.” I teased as I managed to grab the ball from Stiles and throw it through the hoop.

“Well it would help if I wasn’t versing two werewolves.”

“Dude, I’m on your team.” Scott jumped in.

“That’s right. So technically two males, one werewolf and one human, are getting their asses handed to them by one she-wolf. Did I not warn you this would happen?” I joked, tossing the ball up in the air and spinning it around on the tip of my finger.

Scott ran forward and tried to grab it from me while Stiles came up on the other side. I dodged Scott’s attempt and shuffled past Stiles and began dribbling the ball towards the hoop. Scott ran out in front of me and tried to grab it again and again failed. He then tried to block my shot, but instead I used his position with his knees bent to my advantage. I jumped up and propelled myself higher by landing on Scott’s thigh and pushing off. The ball went through the hoop and bounced on the ground.

“Okay, what the hell! How did you do that and I think that’s against the rules.” Stiles argued.

“What rules? All I know is dribble, dodge and shoot.” I smirked. “Here.” I chucked Scott the ball. “I’ll give you guys a handicap. You stand back and see if you can shoot it through the hoop without me trying to steal the ball from you.” I smiled.

The boys nodded and took a few steps back. I walked back so I was standing behind the pole that was holding up the hoop. Scott handed Stiles the ball and Stiles ran a few steps before making a shot. As soon as the ball left his hands I ran at a full sprint and leapt into the air, knocking the ball down.

“But… you said…” Stiles begun.

“I said I wouldn’t try and steal it from you. The ball left your hands, it’s a free for all.” Scott started laughing while Stiles just glared. “Aaaw, don’t be such a sour Stilinski.” I joked as the bell started ringing, indicating lunch.

We went out to the tabled and met Allison, Lydia and Isaac there to discuss all things supernatural.

“Okay, so what happens to a person who has a near death experience and comes out of it seeing things?” Scott asked once we were settled in at our table. Lydia, Allison and Isaac were on one side and Scott was between me and Stiles.

“And is unable to distinguish between what’s real or not.” Stiles added. Apparently back in class he had been seeing sign language. Which I caught onto during our weird two way conversation, but it wasn’t just me it was the entire classroom including Coach.

“And is being haunted by demonic visions of their dead relatives.” Allison added.

“They’re all locked up because they’re insane.” Isaac said.

“Haha.” Stiles said sarcastically. “Can you at least try to be helpful? Please.”

“For half my childhood I was locked in a freezer, so being helpful is kind of a new thing for me.” Isaac shot back.

“Are you still milking that?” Stiles snapped.

Scott’s head collapsed on his arm and mine collapsed on his shoulder out of frustration. These two never stopped with the banter.

“Hi.” Said a new voice. “I couldn’t help but over hear what you guys were talking about.” Said the new girl, who I had no idea who she was. I looked opposite me at Isaac who shrugged and then we both looked back at the girl. “And I think I might actually know what you’re talking about.” She added. “There’s a Tibetan word for it. It’s called bardo. It literally means in-between state. The state between life and death.” She finished.
