Scott, Derek and I made it outside just in time to see Kira absorb the electricity from the cable with her hand cupped over the end and her eyes glowing a vibrant colour that was a mix between gold and red. I took in my surroundings, seeing the water that had spilt out on the ground and the people lying either dead or unconscious. My eyes flicked over each body until they landed on Isaac.

“Isaac!” I ran to him, but he wasn’t moving. “Derek! He’s not breathing!” I yelled, unsure if Derek was next to me or still standing back. “Isaac! No, no, no, no, no come on. This can’t happen, not again.” I muttered thinking back to Erica and Boyd.

Medics were soon by our side and lifting him up onto a stretcher. When they turned him over I saw the burn marks on one side of his face that clearly were not heeling at the rate they should have been. I felt a hand on my shoulder that pulled me away from Isaac before I could run in with the medics.

“What happened?” The Sheriff asked.

“I-it w-was the power line.” I managed to spurt out as a cop car pulled up next to us with sirens going and my dad and Deputy Parrish stepped out with more squad cars following them. “I-I don’t know where the water came from, I guess a burst pipe, I-I don’t know.”

“Hey, hey, hey, shhh.” They Sherriff hushed as he pulled me in for a hug. “It’s okay. Have you seen Stiles though?” He asked once he pulled back.

“What? No, h-he was in the MRI. With you and Melissa.”

The Sheriff shook his head. “No. He disappeared.”

It suddenly clicked. Stiles must have been the one to burst the pipe. “Oh god, this can’t be happening.” I muttered as I ran my fingers through my hair.

“I’m going to ask around.” The Sheriff said before walking away and handing me over to my dad.

“Was that Isaac they were wheeling away?” he asked. I managed a shaky nod. “You should go and see what’s going on, but you’re okay, yeah?”

“Yeah, I’m fine, Dad, just… I don’t even know if there is a word or if it’s possible to feel this many things at the same time.”

“Isaac will be fine.” He said, hinting at his heeling abilities that he couldn’t mention in front of Parrish. I nodded again and dad gave me a reassuring squeeze on my arm accompanied by a small smile before walking off to help the Sheriff.

Parrish walked up to me and held out a set of keys. My set of keys. “The tyre has been replaced and I dropped it off at your house. One less thing for you to be stressed and worried about.”

“Thanks, but I think I just picked up another five things.”

“Remember what you promised? 9 hours sleep tonight, at least.”

“Can those hours be spend on the hospital floor?”

He shook his head. “They won’t let you see him until he’s out of critical and awake, unless your family.”

“Isaac doesn’t have any family.”

“Doesn’t matter. Hospital policy. Go inside, ask around and see what you can find out, but sleep at home in your own bed, 9 hours, 8 at minimum.”

“We’ll see. Thanks again.” Parrish nodded before I walked away and searched the panicked hospital floors for Isaac. I found Allison arguing with a nurse. I hadn’t even noticed she was here.

“He doesn’t have any family! You have to let me see him!” She was saying.

I recognized the Nurse from when my mum worked at the hospital. “Shelly?” I asked.
