School. An odd thing to have to attend after everything. I was standing with Lydia and Kira at the lockers when Coach walked past with Malia talking about how she should join the track team. She smiled at us when she walked past and we smiled back.

“Should we trust her?” Kira asked once she was out of sight.

“I don’t see why not.” I said.

“Maybe because her father is crazy psychopath.” Lydia suggested.

“He isn’t that bad. I mean he didn’t purposely want to catch us in the traps, just the coyote that was supposedly stalking him.” I shrugged thinking about when we got caught in Mr Tata’s bear trap things that almost amputated my foot.

“No, not Mr Tate, Peter.” Lydia said, turning back to her locker.

I laughed, “What? What are you talking about?”

She froze and turned back to me. “Oh… you weren’t there.” I scrunched up my eyebrows, “Peter is Malia’s father, but Malia doesn’t know. Talia took a memory from Peter a while ago and he asked me to find out what she took and it turns out that it was that he’s a father… Malia’s father. I gave him the name, but he hasn’t met her yet or seen her for that matter.” She explained. I raised my eyebrows up at the thought of the one and only Peter Hale being a daddy. I then giggled, which turned into a roaring laugh. “I’m glad you find this amusing.” Lydia said sarcastically.

It was the first time I had actually laughed in a while. “Oh my god.” I managed to say, “Peter has a daughter… Peter is a daddy… I wonder if he’ll attend her graduation?” I asked truly interested. “Oh! What if she gets a boyfriend? He would totally kick the guy’s ass.” I said still smiling with a small laugh.

“I haven’t really met Peter, is he that bad?” Kira asked. “I mean Derek seems nice enough, but everyone always talks about the Hale’s like they’re angels of death.” Kira said.

“He’s Satin in a V-neck.” Lydia smiled at her. “One that left me for dead, bleeding out on the lacrosse field, but my consensus doesn’t really mean much, you’re better off asking Anna… they’re bffs.” Lydia said sarcastically.

“Hah! Say’s the Kanima’s girlfriend.” I shot back.

“Don’t listen to her, Jackson and I weren’t dating at the time and I managed to turn him good in the end.” She said with a triumphant smile.

Kira just nodded in confusion. “Jackson? Good? Really?” I said sarcastically.

“You used to be friends with him and thank-you very much, but you’re the one who dated the guy who was controlling him and telling him to kill. I think that’s worse.”

“Hey, hey, hey, Matt and I weren’t dating at the time either and anger issues over his near death experience aside Matt had an all-round nicer personality than Jackson. He was a photographer for crying out loud not the cocky jock captain of the lacrosse team.”

“Scott’s captain of the lacrosse team…” Kira said, having no idea what we were talking about, but I’m pretty sure she thought we were crazy… who knows maybe we were.

“Oh honey, don’t worry, you’ll catch up one day.” Lydia said as she looped her arm through Kira’s and started walking as she took my arm on her other side. “Nice shoes by the way.” Lydia said nodding towards the Gucci’s she had bought me that I had decided to wear again. “The person who bought them must have fabulous taste.” She said with a smile and all three of us laughed as we made our way to class.

On our way we saw Ethan and Danny talking on the steps. “I’m sorry, I just don’t think I can stay.” Ethan said, but the others couldn’t hear him.
