I dropped Peter and Derek off at Derek’s loft, Breadon refused to take Derek, and then left so I had to chuck him in the back seat. I wanted to yell at him, but not while Peter was there and honestly I had no idea where I would begin. I was also immensely tired. When I got back, both Stiles and the Sheriff were asleep so I quietly crept into my room and collapsed on the bed. I was just starting to fall asleep when my phone started to ring.

“Oh for crying out loud, Peter! I thought I said I was tired when a dropped you off! Let me sleep!”

“Oh, I’m sorry. Did I wake you?” he said, but his voice sounded sarcastic.

“What do you want?”

“An answer.”

“To what?”

“What the hell happened to my door?!” he yelled.

“Oh.”

“Oh? That’s it? Oh?”

“Hey! For all I knew you were dead on the carpet. I had to get in somehow.”

“You use the spare key under the matt! The most obvious place to look!”

“Huh. I never thought of that. You know that’s not very safe. Anyone could get in if it’s that obvious.” I reasoned.

“Well the door lying flat on the ground isn’t much better.”

“Has anything been stolen?” I asked.

“No.”

“Then shut up and go to sleep.” I hung up and closed my eyes. I was out within a minute. I was then awake again in an hour. I met the Sheriff in the hallway and he looked completely exhausted, more than me. “I’ve got it Sheriff, really.” He looked at Stiles’ room and then nodded before retreating back to his. I entered Stiles’ room and found him curled up on his bed. He had stopped screaming and woken up.

“Sorry. I didn’t mean to wake you.” he said in a small voice.

“I know.” I crawled onto his bed and gave him a hug. “Go back to sleep, Stiles, I’m right here.” Within 5 minutes he was asleep and I fell asleep on his bed, again. The next morning I woke up first and got ready for school and waited for Stiles in the kitchen. The Sheriff had already left, of course. Stiles stumbled downstairs and went straight to the coffee machine. “How you feeling?” I asked and took a bite out of my toast.

“Pretty good, considering. What exactly came up last night?” He changed the subject.

“Oh, I found Peter.” I didn’t mention Derek. I didn’t want to until I spoke to him.

“Oh.” He paused before continuing. “Where was he?”

“Strapped down by hunters. Nothing unexpected for him I guess and whoever they were, they weren’t Argents. He was after something that they had and got caught.” I explained. “I’m not sure what it was, but I’m going to find out after school.”

“Right… You don’t think you’re spending a little too much time with him, do you?”

“I think we’ve been through this once before with Derek, and I told you, Peter knows more than anyone.”

“Deaton knows things.” Stiles said in a small voice.

“Deaton isn’t an expert at teaching control.”

“Control! Peter Hale and control?! He’s a mass murdering psychopath! Literally!”

“Ex mass murdering psychopath… I think… at the moment, anyway. Now come on, I’m not going to argue with you, we’re gonna be late.” I gave Buster his breakfast on the way out and then walked to the car.
