"Maddie get down here right now, your breakfast is getting cold." My mom yells as Daphne and I eat breakfast. I swear Maddie takes even longer than I do to get ready.

"Its yogurt. It's suppose to be cold." Daphne speaks.

"Warm then." Mom corrects herself putting some yogurt in a bowl for my little sister.

"Hey baby have you seen my tie. The one with the little u's on it?" My step dad asks my mom.

"Maddie now." My mom repeats louder.

"Those are horseshoes Teddy." I tell him.

"I know." He responds taking a bowl out of the cupboard.

"What do you need a tie for honey? It's Joe." My mom questions.

"Yeah I guess you're right." Teddy speaks pouring milk into his cup.

"I have no idea what I'm going to wear for the talent show." Maddie says taking her breakfast from my mom.

"I told you not to waste your allowance on jeggings." Daphne reminds Maddie.

"Can we go to the mall?" Maddie questions.

"The mall? What do you need to go to the mall for? Didn't your momma just buy you a bunch of clothes?" Teddy asks.

"Brianna told me I need to stop dressing like a sixth grader. She said seventh graders show belly and sideboob." Maddie explains. Excuse me what? I literally almost spit out my food.

"Side what the hell did you just say?" Mom questions as she puts something away in the fridge.

"That's a dollar." Daphne exclaims. We have this thing called a swear jar and every time you swear you have to put a dollar in the jar.

"You know what? No more sideboob. No more ties. We gotta go. You can just borrow something of Harper's." My mom states.

"That's so not happening." I reply placing my bowl in the sink and grabbing my backpack.

"Alright have a good day at school. Love you." Teddy tells us before mom's phone starts to ring.

"Oh my phone. Could you grab that for me babe."

"It's Deacon." Dad tells her.

"Oh shoot it's probably about the tour."

"You know what I'll take the girls. If Joe gets here before me just tell him I'll be right back." Teddy offers. I follow him as he walks out to the car.

"I think this one. I think we can let this one go. It's feeling a little tired. Don't you think?" Mom asks he stylist as she cares a bunch of her clothes into her bedroom from her closet. I love when mom cleans out her closet because my sisters and I get to try on all her old stuff. "But this is cute. I think if we hemmed it. That could still work."

"Oh look at you." Mom says to Daphne as my little sister hops up onto mom's bed in one of our moms old dresses. She picks up a shoe to use as a microphone and starts singing along to the song player on the radio. "I like that dress on you."

"Can I wear this to the talent show?" Maddie asks holding up a blinged out jacket of my mom's.

"Uhn uhn honey. You put that right down. It's worth more than your college education." Mom responds. The door bell rings and mom's stylist says she'll get it.

"And that was the Great George Jones." The person on the radio States as the song ends. "Anyone lucky enough to have been at the Bluebird last night heard an amazing performance by Rayna Jaymes and Deacon Clayborne of their cowritten hit No one will ever love you. They cut that back in 19-" My mom cuts him off by turning off the radio.
