"She did it. She's singing." I say excitedly to Landon through FaceTime. Mom hasn't sung since her accident but right now she's singing live at Luke Wheeler's benefit.

"That's great but I think I should probably go. It's getting late." Landon tells me.

"Ok love you."

"Love you too." Landon says before hanging up.
-----------
"Scarlett texted that she's playing at the Bluebird tonight. Do you wanna go?" I ask Abby.

"Ooh sounds like fun but is Landon coming?" Abby questions.

"Um no but would that be a problem?" Does she not like Landon?

"No it's just...you spend so much time with him. I'm just worried that he's becoming your whole life."

"That's kind of what's suppose to happen. You think I'm spending too much time with Landon?"

"I'm just worried that you and Landon are getting too serious. We're 16 Harper. It's not like you guys are gonna get married."

"You don't know that and it's none of your business. Obviously you're just jealous that I have a boyfriend."

"God Harper I'm just trying to look out for you." Abby yells before walking away from me in the hallway. You know what? I don't need her anyway. I only want people in my life who fully support me.
-----------
"Thanks for coming with me. Abby was suppose to come but we got into this huge fight." I tell my mom. Technically she was already coming but for once we actually rode in the same car.

"About what?" She questions.

"Landon. She thinks we're getting too serious for only being 16."

"Well honey Abby and Dallas have been your best friends since you were little maybe you should talk it out."

"So you think the same thing? That's Landon and I are too serious."

"I didn't say that I just think that no boy is worth loosing one of your best friends over." Mom reasons as we arrive at the Bluebird. Mom and I talk to her friends for a while before Luke Wheeler shows up. Oh my god what is he doing here he's like the king of country.

"Luke Wheeler!" I try to contain my inner fan girl. Mom walks over and hugs him and I follow her leaving Scarlett to talk to some press people. I clear my throats as mom and Luke start talking.

"Oh sorry honey. Luke this is my oldest daughter Harper."

"Nice to meet you Harper." Luke greets. I'm seriously fan girling inside. Luke Wheeler's music is so good.
----------
"I'm so proud of you. That was amazing." Mom tells Scarlett once she's done singing. I feel a pang of jealously but push it away because Scarlett deserves it. She's amazing.

"I couldn't have done it without you." Scarlett replies.

"This is Luke Wheeler." Mom introduces.

"Nice to meet you." Scarlett speaks excitedly shaking Luke's hand.

"Scarlett O'Connor." Mom continues the introductions.

"Great job Scarlett." Luke tells her.

"Thank you so much oh my goodness." Scarlett thanks before saying goodbye so she can talk to other people as well.
-----------
"You girls ready? Your dads here. Come on down." Mom calls upstairs. Teddy's supposed to be taking us to get our dresses for his wedding but Maddie and I really don't want to go. A few minutes later I hear mom come into Maddie's room where both of us are hanging out. She sits down on Maddie's bed.

"Hey." Maddie greets.

"You wanna talk about it?" Maddie takes out her second headphone and I put down my phone.
