'Hey babe we need to talk. Can I come over?' Landon's text says. Since no one else is home I text him to come over even though that text kind of makes me nervous.

"What's up? What'd you need to tell me?" I ask Landon when he gets to my house. I drag him up to my room.

"My mom just told me my dad is being transferred so we're moving." Landon tells me. I look at him in shock.

"To where?" I question.

"Alabama." He answers shamefully.

"Alabama?" I repeat making sure I heard him right. Landon nods and my brain is spinning. My life was just starting to get back to normal and now my boyfriend is moving about 5 hours away. "What about us?" I almost start crying but restrain myself.

"As much as I love you maybe we shouldn't do long distance. We can keep in touch of course but we should be free to meet other people. We're young. We'll just see what happens." Landon explains.

"But I don't want to loose you." I tell him honestly.

"Harper it's not forever if we really love each other then we'll be back together soon."

"Hey girls." Mom greets Maddie and I as she enters Teddy's office.

"Hey." Maddie and I reply.

"Just dropped off Daphne for her big trip to D.C." Mom tells us.

"That's right. That's right." Teddy speaks coming to meet Maddie and I behind his desk in his office.

"Who would've ever guessed you'd become a Juliette Barnes fan." Mom jokes noticing the promotional poster for the music festival with a giant picture of Juliette on it.

"The festivals biggest sponsor. She was Charlie Wentworth's idea." Teddy explains. "I would've had you headline but."

"Look." Maddie says.

"Teddy got us all access passes." I continue.

"That's right. We've got over 50 acts performing. They'll have plenty to keep them busy."

"Ah and I know Scarlett's gonna be there." Mom adds.

"Glad to have her." Teddy mentions.

"THank you for making the space for her." Mom thanks.

"My pleasure."

"You ready girls?" Mom asks.

"Uh actually since you two are together for once um can I take guitar lessons with Deacon?" Maddie questions. "We asked him and he told us to ask you."

"Wait wait wait. You've been talking to him?" Teddy asks.

"Um yeah." Maddie answers.

"Ok your mother and I need to talk about this in private." Teddy explains. Maddie and I walk out of the office so mom and Teddy can talk about Maddie spending more time with my dad.

"Hey." Dad greets opening the door for Maddie, my mom, and I. "Come on in." Maddie and I enter Dad's house. "Thought we'd set up in there. At the table if that's alright." Dad tells Maddie. I'm only here because it's my week with my dad and Maddie was a little nervous to come by herself. With our guitars in tow Maddie and I head over to the kitchen table leaving mom and my dad to talk for a minute. Maddie and I get all set up before telling Dad we're ready. Mom leaves a few minutes later and Dad, Maddie and I start our lesson.

We start out with the easy stuff which I already know but Maddie is years behind me in guitar playing so I won't be learning new stuff just yet.

"You know we listen to your album a lot, it's really good." Maddie mentions.
