Nashville chapter 5
"Happy birthday!" My sisters yell jumping on my bed waking me up.
"Thank you." I reply joyfully. Today is my 16th birthday but it's not going to be the same without my mom. I hug both my sisters before pushing them out the door so I can get ready for school.
"You're home. You're home. You're home." I yell when I see my mom in the kitchen making pancakes. She turns around.
"You really thought I'd miss my baby girl's birthday?" She questions pulling me into a hug. My sister come down a few minutes later hugging our mom just as I did. "Happy birthday Harper! I can't believe my baby is 16."
"Good morning. This came for you." Teddy says to my mom setting a black gift box on the table. "Happy birthday princess." Teddy tells me pulling me into a hug and kissing my forehead. "Alright time for school lets go girls."
I follow Teddy outside without even noticing the brand new blue Ford F-250. "Oh my god. Is that mine?" I question. Looking at my step dad. He nods. Then I start to really freak out. My dream car is now my car. I run over to it and open the drivers side door and get inside. I can't wait to ace my drivers test tomorrow so I can drive this baby.
"I know you're excited but we've got to get to school." Teddy tells me. I careful hop out of my truck and shut the door before running over to my step dad and hugging him.
"Thank you. Thank you. Thank you Teddy. You're the best dad ever. I love you."
My mom comes outside and I hug and thank her too before I have to go to school.
Best birthday ever.
------------
"What is this?" I ask Dallas as she hands me a box. You're birthday present. "Open it." I slowly open the box."Donuts from five daughters. Yum," I say excitedly. "I haven't had Five Daughters in forever. Thank you." I pull Dallas into a hug.
"Happy birthday!" Landon greets coming up behind me.
"Thanks babe." I say giving him a quick kiss. "Donut?" I offer.
"Is that even a question?" He replies picking out a chocolate frosted.
"I saw your story this morning. Did your parents actually get you a truck for your birthday." Dallas asks. I smile brightly.
"Yeah I'm so excited." I exclaim.
------------
"Are you ready for your birthday present now?" Landon asks as he drives me home from school."Yes." I reply. Landon reaches in the backseat keeping his eyes trained on the road before handing me the signature light blue tiffany's bag. "You didn't."
"Oh I did." He states with a grin. "Open it." I take out the box inside and open it revealing a beautiful necklace.
"Oh my gosh Landon. It's beautiful." I tell my amazing boyfriend. This must have cost a fortune.
"I'm glad you like it."
"I love it." I correct.
