* Third Person POV *

Emily sat on her bed.

"You're pretty." Emily suddenly said. "My brother is lucky to have you as a mate."

"Thanks." Sylvia smiled. "Can I do a spell to slow down the poison? It's spreading fast."

"How do you know?" Emily asked sitting up.

"Its just one of my abilities." Sylvia walked over to Emily.

She closed her eyes whispering something.

"You're only slowing it down right?" Emily asked.

"Yes." Sylvia sighed. "I can't get rid of anything only slow it down."

Emily nodded.

"Em-" Jordyn can running into the room holding her stomach.

She gasped seeing Emily's leg.

"Come on, we're going to the pack doctor now." Her mom walked over to her.

"No." Emily crossed her arms. "I will not."

"Emily King-"

"Mom, I love you with all my heart but I will not see the doctor until dad lets me be with my mate." Emily started to get teary eyed.

"If you die because of your stubbornness-"

"Then maybe dad won't do this to your next baby girl." Emily let her tears fall.

"Emily." Mark stood in the doorway.

He scanned her body. His eyes landed on her leg. She moved it under the blanket. He clinched his jaw shut. Mark walked over to her. With a swift motion he picked her up.

"Excuse me." He bowed his head to Emily's mom. "I will make sure she get her leg looked at."

"Put me down." Emily argued. "I will not have my leg healed until my father gives in."

"With the cost of what Emily? Your life? Yeah your father will be sad for a while but once your mom gives birth to another baby girl that grief will be replaced with happiness because god gave him a second chance." Mark snapped. "I will not lose my mate because she's stubborn."

He marched out the room. Emily rolled her eyes.

"I can walk." Emily pouted.

"You're injured." Mark said not looking at her.

"Put me down." Emily continued to pout.

"Not until we get to the pack hospital." Mark said. "And yes I know where I'm going."

"How?" Emily looked up at him.

"Your father told me." Mark smirked. "He's also told me that I can only spend two hours with you."

Emily looked up at him with bright eyes.

"Are you serious?" Emily smiled.

"We're here." Mark placed her down.

Emily winced as her foot touched the ground. Mark opened the door. He froze staring at the pack doctor.

"Uncle?" Mark mumbled.

"Uncle?" Emily looked at Mark then the pack doctor.

"Mark." He walked over to him with a smile. "How you've been?"

"She was shot with a poisonous bullet." Mark changed the subject. "A witch was able to slow the poison down but that was it."

The pack doctor nodded.

"Nurse Alya." The doctor called for her.

"Yes Doctor Nick." She came out smiling.

"Take Ms. Kings to room one." He said.

"How far along are you?" Emily asked. "You look like you shouldn't be working."

"I know." She smiled rubbing her stomach. "I'm going to work until they won't let me."

"They? You're having twins?" Emily asked.

"Triplets." She smiled. "Here's your room."

Emily looked into the room. Mark gently pushed Emily into the room and shut the door. He picked her up, placing her on the bed. Mark sat next to her staring at her.

"Why are you so stubborn?" He asked.

"It worked." Emily smiled. "We get to see each other for two hours, it's a start."

"You're right." Mark smiled.

"How's your father?" Emily asked.

"They put him on a breathing machine." Mark ran his hand through his head.

"Come here." Emily opened her arms.

As Mark stood Doctor Nick walked in.

"Alright I have to take some blood first to see what I'm working with here." He placed a tray down.

Emily's eyes widened as she saw the needle.

"You're going to stick me with that?" She pointed at it.

He nodded.

"Okay, let's just get this over with." Emily sighed. "I'm getting tired."

"Make sure she doesn't fall asleep." Doctor Nick left.

"How do I keep you up?" He looked at Emily.

Emily shrugged her shoulders with a yawn. Mark stood up walking over to her. He sat on the bed next to her. He placed his hand on her thigh.

"I'm sure we can think of something." He smirked.
