* Emily's POV * 

I walked to the front door before I could even knock on the door Avery opened the door. 

"Look who decided to show up." She raised her eyebrows. 

"I'm so sorry." I sighed. "I've been a very bad friend. I don't know what I can do to make it up." 

"You get a mate and now you don't even know how to act." Avery shook her head. "Not only that but you're a Luna now." 

I pressed my lips together. 

"We're not on the same rank anymore, heck we never were." Avery shook her head. 

I could see the tears forming in her eyes. 

"Don't say that." I went to walk towards her but she stepped back. 

"Just go home." Avery let her tears fall. 

"Don't be like this." I stopped her from closing the door. 

"Our friendship crumbled because of you." Avery sniffed. "I was hoping you'd come to me for help but you ran to her. You started a new friendship." 

I opened my mouth to say something but Avery wasn't finished. 

"And to make it worse she's a Luna too." Avery started to laugh with tears in her eyes. "What we had is gone, so you can leave now." 

I fell to my knees, I didn't know what to say, sorry wasn't going to fix this. 

"Please tell me what I can do to fix this." I held back my tears. 

I tensed up as I felt Mark's presences. 

"Hurry and stand up." Avery panicked. 

I stayed on my knees. 

"I'm not getting up." I crossed my arms. "We've been friends since we were kids. I should've came to you but I didn't want you in all that mess." 

"Please get up." Avery tried to pick me up. 

Using all my weight I made sure she couldn't pick me up. 

"Okay okay I give up." Avery sighed. "As long as I get my best friend back I won't be mad anymore." 

I jumped up tackling with a hug. 

"Good, because I have a lot to tell you." I smiled. "Things that Sylvia doesn't know." 

I turned around to see Mark standing there with his arms crossed. He was with another guy. 

"Who's he?" I asked. 

"He's my beta." Mark said. "I'm training him today." 

"So why are you here?" I asked. 

"One of my task was to track you done when Alpha Mark can't." He smiled. "It was hard at first but here we are." 

His eyes trailed passed me to Avery. I smiled knowing what was happening. 

"I'm not but I think he's my mate." Avery whispered in my ear. "My wolf is going crazy." 

"Go get him." I pushed her. 

She turned and gave me a mean look. 

"Go." I mouthed. 

I looked over at Mark and motioned for him to come to me. He rolled his eyes and walked over to me. 

"Never get on your knees for anyone, except me." He grabbed me by waist pulling me to him. 

I wrapped my arms around his neck rubbing my nose against his. 

"What makes you think I'll get on my knees for you." I smirked. 

He picked me up. I squealed. 

"Nathan, I'm gonna head back." Mark called out to him. 

"Okay sir." He nodded. 

"You can stay and get to know your mate, maybe take her out." Mark winked. 

Nathan's face turned red. 

"Princess." Mark eyes met with mine. "The full moon is tomorrow." 

"I know." I rested my head on his shoulder. "I can't wait."

Mark tossed me on the bed. I laughed covering up. He climbed up on the bed crawling slowly over to me. He kissed my forehead, getting under the covers with me. I wrapped my body around his taking his warmth. 

"You know." I looked up at him. "We haven't been on a date in a long time." 

"You're right." He rested his head on mine. "How about tomorrow. What do you want to do?" Mark asked. 

"Anything, as long as it's with you." I smiled. 

"Get some rest, we have a long day tomorrow." Mark gave me a squeeze. 

I yawned closing my eyes. Letting sleep take over.
