Wicked Love

Chapter 11

Lonnie meets up with Jane in her dorm to help her with her homework. Since Carlos was out with Mal, he asked Lonnie to take his place as Jane's tutor for the night. As it turns out, Lonnie is a pretty smart girl.

When she entered the dorm, she sees a seemingly sad Jane.

"Hey, what's the matter?" asked Lonnie.

"Nothing," lied Jane.

"C'mon, Jane. We're both friends," said Lonnie.

Jane sighs and confesses. "Have you ever fallen in love before, Lonnie?"

"I can honestly say I have," said Lonnie. "But I'm not telling you who."

"Well, I found... someone," said Jane shyly.

"Carlos," guessed Lonnie. "Audrey noticed. She told Jordan, who told Ally, who told Freddie, who told me."

"But he's with Mal now," said Jane sadly.

"Oh." Lonnie remembered what Ben told her. "Uh, Jane, there's something I need to tell you. It's about Carlos. He..."

"Lonnie."

Lonnie turns around and sees Ben. Apparently, she left the door open.

"I was, uh, just looking for you," said Ben. "Can we talk for a minute?"

"I have to help Jane with her homework," said Lonnie.

"Just one minute, please," asked Ben.

Unable to resist the magic word, Lonnie walks out the door. Ben closes it and takes Lonnie to a spot further away from the door.

"You cannot tell Jane or anyone," said Ben.

"Why not?" asked Lonnie. "Jane like Carlos. I can't have her thinking that she lost him to Mal."

"When I told Mal that I told you, she was furious. I promised her I would never tell anyone," said Ben.

"You mean she forced you to?" guessed Lonnie, putting an arm on her hip.

Ben hesitated, but answered. "Yes." He coughs before continuing. "Point is, you can't tell anyone about this, especially Audrey."

"Okay, I promise," said Lonnie.

- ROTTEN TO THE CORE - 

Carlos had asked Ben if he could borrow the royal limo. He approved. Carlos gives the driver the piece of paper that Evie gave him. After an hour of driving, they made it to their destination. Carlos was excited. However, Mal fell asleep.

"Uh, Mal, wake up," he said, gently shaking her shoulder.

Mal's eyes shot open as she smacks Carlos' neck with her arm.

"Hey... easy... it's, ugh, me," said Carlos, choking.

Mal takes her arm off Carlos. "Sorry," she apologized.

Carlos exits the limo and offers Mal a hand. Mal rolls her eyes at his gentleman-like act, but takes his hand anyway. When Mal saw where they are, both her eyes and mouth opened wide.

"Well, what do you think?" asked Carlos.

"I think you're too in love with me to think clearly," muttered Mal.

Carlos giggles silently.

Mal continued to stare at where they are. They were at an amusement park.

"Why are we here?" asked Mal. "Especially on a school night?"

"C'mon, let's go," said Carlos.

Carlos takes Mal inside the park. They were met by many children waving at them.
