I have not created any of these characters, except for Ben and Max. All chracters belong to Stephanie Meyers. This is merely a fanfiction, a story about what I would have happen after Breaking Dawn. Please enjoy :)

IMPORTANT!!! PLEASE READ THIS::::::

I know that Renesme was older in BD, and way more intelligent; I have changed that for my story. I loved BD, but I did not like the fact that Bella did not have a baby girl for very long, only a child. Which was crucial for that story line, but not for this one. So I changed it. (It is my story, after all ;) ) I hope this fact does not throw off any readers, And I hope you won't turn away simply because of it. It's just a story. That being said, I hope you enjoy this, and please leave me any feedback you can =D

Chapter 1: Life begins

"Bella!"

I looked up, and smiled. 50 years later, and his voice still gave me goose bumps.

"In here Edward!" I heard him walking quickly through the house, looking for me. He emerged into our bedroom, and walked through the entrance to our garden. Seeing me, he smiled.

I was seated on a stone bench next to the small pond.

"What are you up to love?" He asked me.

"Just trying to draw those flowers over there." I nodded to the corner where I had planted a small flower garden. Now that my vampire senses were enhanced, I loved to smell flowers; they were so much more beautiful when I could see every part of them, and smell all the different scents of each flower, that humans generally missed.

I looked down to my sketchpad. The drawing wasn't very good, but I was getting better.

He leaned over to see my drawing. "Looks good," he said. "You're definitely improving." He smiled, then leaned down to kiss me. As usual, he had to push me away after a few seconds.

"Did you need me for something?" I asked.

"Oh! Right! Renesme wants you outside."

I smiled. "All right, I'll be right out." He ran back into the house and back to the front yard.

I put my drawing aside, and walked to the front yard.

Renesme was sitting next to the swings next to Jacob, holding a handful of buttercups.

"Mama! Look!" she laughed. She held a small buttercup flower under Jacob's chin and giggled. "It makes his skin turn yellow!"

I chuckled as I walked over to her. I swung her around as I picked her up. She laughed even more, and touched my neck.

My vision filled with the color yellow, and a feeling of happiness. Jacob's face appeared, making silly faces as she showed me the game they had been playing together. She pulled her hand away and I smiled at her.

"Are you and Jacob having fun?" I asked her. She nodded.

I set her down. Technically, she was 50 years old. But she had the body of a 5 year old.

None of us could have guessed how much her growth would have slowed down after that first year. We still couldn't explain it, or put a pattern or equation to her growth.

Edward and Carlisle had spent months over the past 50 years, trying to figure her out. But they couldn't; no one could.

Eventually we had given up, and decided to enjoy our lives with her. We still talked about it occasionally, and I of course still thought and worried about it. But we had all decided to relax for the time being, not wanting to worry her with all our whispering and talking about her.
