Renesme's Dream (aka Life with Renesme) Chapter 12

OK this one is a shortie, but I didn't want to leave you guys hangin!! the next chapter should be very interesting! I'm not sure If I'm going to go write it right now, or wait a bit, but I can promise you it will be very, very interesting!!

"Who did this?" Jacob asked us in a strangled voice.

"All we know is it's a small boy who's on the vengance path for Bella and I. He doesn't know about Renesmee yet.

Jacob sighed in relief. I knew I should be offended by that, but I was beyond caring at this point.

"Um guys? Can we get out of here?" I asked, tilting my head towards Renesmee.

They all nodded and we went back downstairs.

"How are we going to get this boy to tell us who he is?" Alice asked us.

"I have no idea." Edward said. "But we have to know what his problem is us before we can try to persuade him not to kill us or harm our friends and family."

We all sat there, lost in our own thoughts, for a long time. I was trying to think of who this boy might be, and why he wanted to kill us. Also how could I protect my daughter? I should have sent her to Billy's, damnit!

Renesmee had fallen asleep on Jacob's lap, and Jacob had also fallen asleep. His loud snores were the only sound.

Around 6am we heard footsteps running towards us. Edward and I ran outside to see who it was.

"It's them." He said with relief. I was relieved too, I had been afraid that it was the boy somehow.

Carlisle, Esme, Jasper, Emmett, and Rosalie ran into view 3 seconds later. They all stopped short in shock when they saw our old house.

Esme ran and hugged Edward and I. "Are you guys alright?" she asked.

"No." We both said.

We led them inside, and Rosalie ran over to Renesmee to make sure she was alright. Jasper ran to Alice, enfolding her in a massive hug, and then kissed her. We all turned away to give them a moment. Being away from each other was hard, we all understood that.

"What's the problem, Edward?" Carlisle asked him.

"Have a seat, this will take a bit of explaining." Alice said.

We all sat down on the couches Edward, Alice, and I had cleared off.

Edward and Alice told them all about how Rene now knew everything, as did Phil, and how Alice had gotten her vision right before Renesmee had, and what the dream and vision had contained.

When they finished, Carlisle, Esme, Rosalie, Emmett, and Jasper all sat in silence, absorbing what we had just told them.

"So you have no idea who this boy is?" Carlisle asked, the first one to recover from the shock.

"None whatsoever." Edward said.

"Well then, we'd better find him before he finds us." Emmett said, ready for a fight."

"I never thought of it like that...." I said.

"There are 8 or us, and one of him, and he's just a kid." Jasper stated. "Now would be the best time."

"Ok, but no one is to hurt him not until we find out why he's after us." I said, making sure they all understood. They all nodded, and I gently woke up Jacob and told him where we were going, and to take care of Renesmee.

We headed out the door, and started running for the place where we had seen the tree house.
